  • Hooray, I just finished UFO number 1 - Tempest in a teacup. Photo to follow...

My OH has done some designs for me, plus I bought a new kit at the Knit and Stitch show last week, so not quite sure when the other UFOs will get done... I've decided to teach OH to cross stitch so he can try out some of his own designs though!

Hey another TW stitcher - he look ssuper! Did you know Tempest was originally an exclusive design for a very select number of stitchers :D ? I was lucky enough to meet her on that trip to the UK a good few years ago now.

    Hi All

    Hope everyone is well.

I have just been browsing Ebay looking for old cross stitch collection magazines to replace the ones I lost in the fire. I came accross something funny/weird.

Yesterday when I got home from work the latest edition had been delivered. So it costs approx £4.25 - I get subscription so cheaper.

When I was on Ebay I noticed two people are selling it. One currently sitting at £5.50 plus £1.60 P&P with over 5 days to go and the other at £4 with £1.50 P&P with 3 days to go.

Now I have nothing against people selling magazines on Ebay (I have bought and sold stuff alot over the years on Ebay) but the magazine will be in the shops in a few days - why buy from Ebay.

Just found it weird - also some one is selling some older ones for buy it now £10 - alot of money.

Oh well, bah humbug and all that, kind wishes to all

    ^^That is mental!!

I've heard of trying to make a profit but that's trying a bit too hard imo. With the postal strikes buyers would be uicker getting it from the shop anyway.

And £10 for an older one - wow. I would have to be really desperate for a certain chart to pay that sort of money.

:jHi, I hope someone can help me

I'm looking to make a scrapbook for my ever lovely mum (filled with pictures of my baby boy - her first grandson as part of a hamper) and would love to cross stich the front cover. I was thinking baby thumper etc but does anyone have a pattern of thumper or childrens building blocks kind of thing? Or do they know where I can purchase them cheaply?

    Hi there

I can't spot any "thumpers" but are any of these any use?

^^Any idea what sort of size you are looking for?

Is this size any good or is it too small?
