if you run the applications before 21:00 you should get an automated decision as the CRA's lock their databases after around 21:00 for re-indexing.

    Never new that.

Ok, first try Capital One, then try Monument, Capital One search Experian and Equifax and Monument only search Call Credit, let us know how you get on, if you run the applications before 21:00 you should get an automated decision as the CRA's lock their databases after around 21:00 for re-indexing.

Great thank you, just pulled up Capital One and applied and they said "We are currently reviewing your application and need to do some final checks before we can confirm our decision to you"

    Is this good??

They didnt..at first, I called up their team and asked for a decision and they said no, I said why and they said information from Experian and I said liar, Liar , pant's on fire cos they did not do a search and they said oh, dear let me look in to that, they called back and said well we have ways of looking at your file without you knowing and I said...:naughty: you have to leave a footprint by law of some sort either recorded or un-recorded search, oh and as I am CIFAS protected why did you not contact me to ask for my password?...oh well sir sorry but here at AMEX we are different to other credit card companies in that we have high standards bl, bla, bla so far up his yuppie @rse, anyway they did a search and then said no again then removed the search and said the reason you have been declined is the fact you have too many searches on your file. No Sh|t sherlock!

  • I'd like to say hi and i guess sign up to the sub primers club :D

I got a Cap One in Apr 07 and used it wisely then in sept 07 i got a halifax one then a barclaycard platinum and thought i was progressing didn't realise they were training cards too but i was happy cause i got 12 months 0% on both of them and the aprs were gettin better, i even got a mothercare card and a new bank account with 2.5k overdraft.

Thats when it started going wrong i got an itchy trigger finger and those apply buttons just got easier to click, i've applied for a few credit products but got turned down i did get a new couch on finance which we did desperately need, but now i think i need help. After lurking here for a few days (thats it just since Monday) i applied for a Flybe card cause everyone else was i got the you'll hear within 7-10 days so i know another rejection, but i've got to stop this problem once and for all with the support of you guys if anyone wants to join me please do but i'll start.................

My names Stephanie and i'm an applicationaholic lol

Hi and welcome, well done on getting those products anyway but try and keep off the apply button, kettle calling the pot black here but I have crippled my credit rating with loads of application, not really bothered though cos I know I have a clean file otherwise, however all I am after is a good card with a low rate and a good limit...thats it.

Have you tried one of the MBNA family of cards e.g Virgin etc?
