You must get that linked address sorted, it may have adverse data with it only you will not see it as you did not tell them you lived there during the Experian sign up or any credit apps that you may have done. Who created the address link? It should tell you at the bottom near the date the link was created which company put it there.

Hey, get him telt, I dont want to be tarred with the same brush! Although I am the IT Manager at my place I dont give bollockings to people lightly, a quiet friendly word in the ear followed by some helpfull advice seems to work and I make less enemies that way.

What does get him telt mean lol

He was being a complete nob quit frankly. He was fanny-assing around with my email and messed it up. I politely told him that everything he touches turns to crap and he went off one one. Jesus!!! Seriously tho, because of him I have not had work emails on my laptop and phone since last week. He's new though - i miss our old IT guy loads - he was funny.....and knew his stuff lol

Every other IT guy is pretty chilled out, but this one needs some serious de-stressing lol

Ok, you must re-subscribe to Experian Credit Expert and get your file asap, if the data is still there you first need to contact the fraud dept at Experian and explain the situation to them, they will then place a notice of dispute on your file which will prevent automated underwriting on credit app's, what that means every credit app will be referd for manual underwriting by a person, which can be a good thing, find out the name of the company who created the link and then contact their credit control/underwriting dept and explain the situation to them, they will probably just remove the link or they may ask for further data from you. Follow these steps and you will get it sorted I promise, I had over 93 linked address on my Experian file as I was a victim of ID theft and other things of which I can't go in to on a public forum but it got sorted using these methods.

    Evening All.................IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

A very warm welcome to all the newbies on this thread :j . It's always nice to see new faces.

Sharon, I know exactly how you feel. Credit ratings, defaults etc etc etc are so confusing at first - but you do get used to how the system works! Just for clarification, credit agreements drop off your file 6 years after the default date or satisfied date - whichever occurs first. For example I have a default recorded by Egg in Jan 2005 and it gets marked as satisfied in Jan 2009. Because the default was registered first, the account will disappear 6 years after the default, so in Jan 2011, the credit agreement has vanished. I hope that makes sense - but it is late and I am very tired so prob not lol

    :T
Clio, my god are you ok???? You must have pooed yourself??? I hope you gave her the finger back lol

I have had an absolute pants day at work - I was so gruffy I don't know why, and to top it off the IT guy had a right go at me and was proper egg mcmuff. Grrrrrrrr

Anyway, here's to a nice weekend
Thank you so much-the example you gave made sense to me. Like i said a long week,it really is good to get the correct info. Thanks

Sharon, have you checked your credit files latley?
Only experian as posted earlier-too scared to check others. Got accepted for cap 1 and MBNA-refused monument and nationwide debit card with partner(even though he has 1k overdraft and cheque book me as additional card holder) His credit is squeaky clean and he did laugh at my £100 limit with cap 1. We both have good jobs with annual income over 40k-but that seems to count for Jack! my previous is letting us both down ! Deary me ! x:eek:

The CRA's Datasabse Servers need to re-index their data overnight so it is usually back on around 06:00am, let us know what you find and we will try and help you.

  • i've checked my report and it says i have a default which i have recently settled, and this unkown address is showing in my linked addresses but everything else is right.

Not sure if this makes a difference but i recently paid a loan off in september and its not updated are they supposed to update by the end of the month or just when they get around to it.

Doubt i'll be getting any further credit for the next couple of years its showing my searches as takes a deep breath 27 for the past year didn't realise my finger was that itchy.

Anyway i did email creditexpert about this unknown address as i couldn't find the way to report discrepancies on my file will this get to the right dept.?
