I did apply to Ulster Bank online and they gave me a Step account with a Solo card. I'll just keep that in stand by in case anything goes wrong with the Halifax.
what account did you apply for with Ulster? I recieved my paying in book today from Ulster, still waiting on card coming to see if they give me the debit card they said I would get in the branch :rolleyes: .

I applied for the Current Plus but because I am not working due to illness I was only offered the Step account which was approved.
It was the Current Plus we got , although I do not work for same reason as you my hubby does so guess that makes a difference. My DD had step account for about 6 months then was able to change to Current plus so hopefully you will eb the same.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
I'm still awaiting my card from Capital One. While I'm waiting I'm trying to decide whether to apply for a Virgin or MNBA card.Remember, an Aardvark is not just for Christmas....0

Well what did I say...Got the Dear John letter from Flybe this morning so thats a no go but I did receive my paperwork from Citibank UK and they didn't want the payslip just confirmation of my address..Does this mean I have been refused the overdraft but can still have the account??
I have signed all I was asked to and it's gone back in the post today, so should have my new account by end of next week :T
