As ya can see, a newbie is me! (yay im a poet and i didnt know it!)And I have a question lol.
I was just wondering what general chances of getting accepted for a flybe card are like?
I don't have any CCJ's or defaults on my history although it will be low as I do have a 2 month outstanding orange phone bill, and have recently had about 3 or 4 searches on my account as I have been applying to sub-prime cards Vanquis, Capital One, Aqua, and Barclaycard Initial - all of whom accepted me.
By this you may wonder why the hell I chose to apply for the flybe card too, but I read about it here, and got a case of itchy trigger finger lol and therefore clicked apply before I knew what I was doing!
I'm 24 and have an income of about £12,000 at moment and I am on electoral role.
Any help/personal abuse/beer welcome!
I think if you got all the other cards o.k. you should be alright. It does seem to be a bit hit and miss though. Good luck anywayIf we all took an eye for an eye the world would be blind-(someone said that somewhere) :T
Wins Cheltenham tickets, edible garden show tickets +£25 voucher, underground disco C.D (comping since feb2011)
Thank you all competition posters!0 -
Hey thanks for that.
I just applied to see my credit score with callcreditcheck.com so in a few days I'll soon know what it looks like! (not that I want to!).
Just cross my fingers that I get accepted by flybe and so my credit don't get bashed up lol.
Now...must remember...do NOT spend spend spend! LOL0 -
Hello All,
Hope your all well??
Well after my disappointment with the A&L I think just think I have been accepted for a Citibank UK access current account...now I am believing this has an ordinary bank card and overdraft - no basic cash card.
However they did state I would receive the paperwork within 3-5 days, to sign and return with the relevant documentation. They have asked for a recent utility bill, a recent wageslip and proof of any other monies going into the account....So does this mean I have got the account or can they write and say they have changed their minds? Debts: Capitalone £0, Vanquis £220, LX Direct £1197, Mutual £1107, JD Williams £23 :eek:0 -
I would say if they're asking for that documentation, you've probably been accepted mate.
Don't quote me 100% on that, but it looks pretty good news to me0 -
Got my (my wife got her card with me a named card holder) flybe card today. 5K limit
At the same time got a letter from Barclays refusing to allow me to be an additional card holder on her Barclaycard account???Martin Lewis is always giving us advice on how to force companies to do things.
How about giving us advice on how to remove ourselves from any part of MoneySupermarket.com
I hereby withdraw any permission Martin might have implied he gave MoneySupermarket.com to use any of my data. Further more, I do not wish ANY data about me, or any of my posts etc to be held on any computer system held by MoneySupermarket.com or any business it has any commercial interests in.0 -

Well I am baffled...
I have been accepted by Vanquis, already hold a Capital one card which I've held for 9 mths thereabouts. Think I have been accepted for a Citibank uk access current account but have just been refused the Monument card...no thinking about it just an instant NO humph!!!
So I am presuming I am going to get the 'Dear John' letter from Flybe..What do you think???? Debts: Capitalone £0, Vanquis £220, LX Direct £1197, Mutual £1107, JD Williams £23 :eek:0 -
Bah, I wouldn't worry about, monument are weird lol! :P
I have no idea what flybe are like with credit acceptance though, which is why I posted my question above.
Can only cross fingers and hope ! Good luck though my friend0 -

Flybe are very strange with credit acceptance. They refused me even though I got a mortgage back in January, A&L bank account last month and a Capital One card this month. I've not really got any major nasties on my cra, so it's very strange! Shame though as I could've done with a 3k card. :rolleyes:Remember, an Aardvark is not just for Christmas....0
