Evening all
My finger is now firmly of the apply button lol.
It’s interesting reading some of the comments made by “Ican’tStandIt” I suppose you would have to have been through the mill to understand this thread and the support, help and information it’s giving to what I’m sure are hundreds of people who have had difficulty in the past maybe some self inflicted maybe not no one here is judging.
As I mentioned before the accounts I’m holding are just tools to get a job done, to access a decent Mortgage rate with a sensible LTV which requires a good credit rating and unfortunately still a large deposit.
Until the day my file is just little green dot’s and no nasty stuff left I shall keeping managing the accounts I have well by clearing the balance’s in full every month and keep climbing the ladder until I am no longer a “High risk Customer” but a once again a “Preferred Customer” and that my friends is only a matter of time.
If it wasn’t for this Forum and debthelpuk Forum when I was going through my bankruptcy and divorce I would not be were I’m am now so everyone keep posting and sharing your experiences.

ICan’tStandIt, if you wouldn't mind could you briefly outline your financial status and or past please? Have you ever been exposed to financial difficulty or had to start again in the financial world? The reason I ask is because if you have always had a clean slate and never struggled I don't think you can understand nor even comprehend what our mission is.
You could best describe my financial situation as "knife edge".
I have a mortgage and credit cards (never missed a payment on either) and the last time I checked my credit score it was 857 I think (which is ok, but not great). It's fairly low due to the amount of unsecured debt outside of my mortgage, regardless of the fact it's all up to date and under control.
I was sent an application for a sub-prime credit card once and I binned it, but I've worked for various different lenders (including sub-prime) and I know how these guys operate. I've also seen people default and basically get away with it. The collection process is very long and drawn out and at the end of the day, if people can't/won't pay, there isn't much that can be done.
The consequences for not paying back a debt are not strong enough in this country. All that seems to happen to people who default is, they don't get further credit until it drops off their credit file. Even those who go bankrupt can be back spending again in under five or six years.
It's an insult to those of us who struggle to keep everything up to date.
If the result of not paying a debt back were much more severe, people would think more before taking one on.0 -
***bump***Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
