MBNA card hit my door step today and it looks a lot less subprime in design than my other cards Lol .Got the hard sell on Payment Protector when I activated the card which I said no to. Signed up for the online account management which looks straight forward.
Am now most defiantly riding the subprime wave:D with Cap1, Monument, Vanquis and now MBNA all packed in my wallet the only one that escaped me was Aqua ah well Seems Aqua use Equifax for applications when I looked at this report a few days back there was still an account that had not been marked as satisfied/settled which is I think why I got turned down.:(
I shall of course keep you all informed of any progress such as limit raises and card upgrades. Since a few of us got the MBNA card around the same time I’d be keen to see who gets upgraded/limit increased first so please post any progress.
Does anyone know when a credit card provider reviews an account do they check your credit file again to see what other accounts you have and what there credit limits are ? The only reason I ask is my Cap1 card was stuck on £200 limit what seemed forever but thinking about it went up to £800 shortly after Vanquis increased my limit to £2000 didn’t know if the two might be related or just coincidence.
