Don't take this the wrong way dragon2121,but is another loan really the way to go?? Looking at your signature you've got a chunky sum already outstanding on loans - is there any other way?
Plus a sub-prime loan will be a high APR and may plunge you deeper into the abyss!

Not taken the wrong way, completely understand your point. I have a few one off bills that I need to pay and cannot get any more credit cards and maxed out on the existing ones. That's the reason for the loan, I'm 'only' looking for £2k. I get my annual bonus of £10k next March and will be using it all to pay off debt starting with the highest APR first and thus if this was the highest I'd pay it off then, if not the credit cards.
My credit profile should be good enough at that point to obtain a new hsbc loan consolidating by existing hsbc one and citi one into a new loan (citi one at 23.5%apr and hsnc 12% at moment), I will then have one loan for cira £23k with hsbc the barclays loan which end in june2010 (6.9% apr) and the majority if not all of my credit cards paid of and closed!
But in the meantime I've got a few 'one off' bills that I need to and dont have the funds hence the enquiry about a loan. It appears than anything I apply for that checks equifax I get accepted for but experian I get rejected (more searches a default from 2003 - argos - starting the process to have this removed as a result of charges etc).
Any advice appreciated. :-)HSBC loan - [STRIKE]£12500[/STRIKE]£11200 HSBC CC - [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE] £2300Egg CC - [STRIKE]£2700[/STRIKE]£3100 Capital 1 CC - [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] £800Vanquis CC - [STRIKE]£250[/STRIKE] £0 Citi Loan - £11000Barclays Loan - [STRIKE]£7000[/STRIKE] £5000Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Apparently Zopa only check Equifax - this is what other members have said so it's not guaranteed!
It's a 'social lending' company, might be worth a shot.

Thanks whamy, I applied and got the 'call us' thing. I'm not going to bother though because I don't really want the pay £100 deposit card. I've got bank of scotland aqua and cap 1. So I think I'll just wait for 6 months or so and try again.:A

Thanks I'd tried them about 8 months ago but they wouldnt let me borrow. Tried again now and after their initial credit search came up with an 'A' credit score (I'm pretty sure they actually just use equifax's own credit score for this). They definitely use equifax only as it states so when you go through the identity check. I've been accepted for a loan and have borrowers willing to offer up to £5k at 8.9% APR!
Now the decision rests with the underwriters - I suppose they pur through your credit report etc and do employment checks etc......I'll let you know if I pass!HSBC loan - [STRIKE]£12500[/STRIKE]£11200 HSBC CC - [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE] £2300Egg CC - [STRIKE]£2700[/STRIKE]£3100 Capital 1 CC - [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] £800Vanquis CC - [STRIKE]£250[/STRIKE] £0 Citi Loan - £11000Barclays Loan - [STRIKE]£7000[/STRIKE] £5000Proud to be dealing with my debts0
