    Hi Guys

i am so so so so cross

Upon checking my Equifax today to see if my Egg debt has been settled, I find a new account has been put on this week by Lowell (a DCA) and they've defaulted me in March 2005 for £16 !!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently I owe 3 this £16, although I have never had any correspondence from 3 about this alledged debt, and I even took out a mobile broadband contract with them last year

I am so !!!!ed off now. I've been working hard to clean up my file, and this has just set me back. It's like 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Now i feel bad, as I was reversing onto my drive tonight and nearly knocked this poor Anglian Windows man over in my rage at this default. I wish now I said sorry to him, I'm not normally like that :(

I need to write a strongly worded letter to 3 and Lowell and hope they remove this pesky default :(

Be wary of Lowell, they are sharks, they will lie and cheat and use threatening behaviour to get repayment.

They are the lowest of the low in my opinion. Good Luck.

Thanks Nick. The mood I'm in I shall give as good as I get!!! I shan't call them,I will do everything by letter.

What do you think I should state in my letter. Should I send the CCA request letter. I've never used this before, but I'm adament that this is not my debt, and I do not want my report to be tarnished any further with this. Is there any legislation I can quote with regards to no default notice issued etc.

What !!!!es me off, is that I took my other defaults on the chin and settled them all. I just want this £16 off as I don't owe it!!!

I would ask them to evidence the debt by supplying the CCA myself. If they can't do this, then they have no case.

I know of them because they once approached me for debt belonging to the previous owner of my house, nothing to do with me. They really were the most unpleasant bunch of people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Once I explained the error of their ways they soon dissappeared so Good Luck ;)

Thanks Clio. It really blows doesn't it??? I'm going to send the CCA letters and if they don't produce then I am going to ask them to remove the default. On the plus side, they recorded the default as March 2005, so it will drop off in March 2011. My latest default isn't due to drop until March 2013, and then I will be clear.

Anyway, enough of me. How are things with you? Had a good day??
