I can't belive the OP has a problem spending a few pounds on her own kid to buy a shirt that fits.
I mean whats it going to cost £2, £3?
I could understand if it was the last week or so but you still got a good 12 weeks or so to go and they are already to small for her.0 -

I thought child benefit was to help clothe the childrenRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Can OP explain what the problem is, please?
Is it the expense?
Is it because the school is telling you to do something?
Is it that your daughter prefers t-shirts to shirts?
Is it that other children go in worse uniform than your daughter's t-shirt and get away with it?
Once the problem has been clarified we can move forward...0 -

From what I've seen the OP just posted it as a rant.
OP - you come across as quite rude and confrontational. Take a chill pill, for goodness sake!0 -
my DD is in y6 ,soon going to comprehensive school ,her school shirts are way too small now so i let her go in a t shirt today, she has come home saying her teacher expects her in full uniform tomorrow ![[ yeah fat chance of that !] how would you word a letter tomorrow basically saying this is what she ll be wearing untill she leaves [uniform is not compulsary just their preference]
if uniform is not compulsory - what is your/their problem?
for a letter so strict what sort of t-shirt was she wearing?
if her school shirts are way too small now - why didnt you buy a couple of new ones earlier? poor girl being sent in clothes too small.
10 weeks IS worth buying a couple of shirts for - don't make your daughter feel singled out
shame on you as a mother0 -
don't make your daughter feel singled out
shame on you as a mother
CHRISSY did say :she is still in grey trousers and school fleece lots of the kids wear some parts of it but not all.
shame on you for not reading the thread properly
Edit to add : actually accept my apologies, I shouldnt have came out with a reply like that but I kinda felt when you said "shame on you as a mother" was out of order.0 -
The school have complained on the first day she didn't wear a shirt, at some point over the next 10 weeks your daughter is going to tell you that it would be easier for her is she complied, so you may as well do it now.
If you can afford two new shirts then buy them, if you can't write a note to the school and ask if they have any spare from lost property or the school second hand rails or ask you friends if anyone has any shirts to spare.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Maybe it would've been a good idea to buy new shirts when you first realised that the old ones were getting too small instead of waiting til she was bursting out of them?
Then she would've gotten more than 50 days wear out of them!!
