    Happy Birthday Wendy!
I thought anyone would be able to resist this cake ... isn't it gross? .... and therefore ideal for all of us as we won't even be tempted.

    Hi Peeps :hello:

Well I must admit, I've surprised myself this week by taking an intrest in cooking.

This is what I had for tea last Thursday:

Ready to eat Mackeral, with Uncle ben's microwave rice.

This is what I had tonight:

Ready to eat mackeral, brushed with Marjoram and a little butter combined, (thanks to the member who suggested this)

Rce, cooked in 1 pint of veg stock (I used veg stock for flavouring instead of just water, which I noticed on another thread) added some frozen mushrooms I had in the freezer.

I can't put into words the difference in taste between last weeks meal, and tonight's, I'd like to say a personal thank you to each and everyone that has given me advice and support so far :A

  • Hi
Can I join please, pretty please.
I have been trying to loose some weight with little success since Xmas but then I joined the Grocery challange and found this site and between the two I have managed to loose half a stone since April 1st. This has really inspired me.
I am only 5ft 1 but weigh 11 1/2 stone. I never put on any weight until I hit 30 and then the pounds started pilling on year after year after having children, however as the first is nearly 18 and I will be 50 this year I think it is time for me to grow up. I have had several half hearted attempts over the years and lost a little but never stuck at it.
I have become vaguely:rolleyes: obsessive and weigh myself every day - bad I know but it seems to work for me as it reminds me of what I should be doing. I am trying to walk as much as possible but finding it hard to reach 10K steps a day. I usually manage it once or twice a week. I swim 40 lengths on a Thursday with my friend.
I do not want to join a club, have no knowledge of the calorific value of most foods, but have a shrewd idea of high fat things to avoid. Get a bit muddled as being veggie I feel I need the nuts and some cheese for protein. I do try and keep cheese to a minimum. We use quorn and soya substitutes and I do try and cook most meals from scratch.
I will stop now as this is getting a long boring post. I will report my losses/gains on Wednesday - I am going for a steady 1lb a week. Wish me luck.
    WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
    11st 5lb as at 20.04.09 11st 7lbs 040509 11st6 010609 I wish 2016 175 lbs.
