    Hi peeps

Can someone tell me where I went wrong with my muffins?

I took them out the oven and left them for 5 mins to cool down, but when I tried to take them out the tray they were stuck to the bottom.

I used an ovenproof rubber muffin tray.

10past6, Hmm, I know what I'd do if it was a metal muffin tray but as yours is a rubber one I won't answer in case I say the wrong thing :o

You might get a quicker answer on cooking related questions if you post over on the OldStyle board, there is a thread for "quick questions on anything" which always has lots of cooking questions :)

Well done on your first attempt! :D

These loads of ingredients you've bought - did you buy them on spec or did you have dishes/recipes in mind when you bought them?

I keep supplies of a few storecupboard basics, but other than that I plan meals and then shop for those ingredients I specifically need. I wouldn't expect to already have everything in if I was trying something new :)

For our favourite regular meals we can bulk buy ingredients and often save more money that way.

Hope this isn't just stating the obvious - and you must tell us how your muffins turned out!

I'm somewhat stupid, when I started out on this home cooking adventure, I lookd at various recipes on this site, and noted down then purchased the ingredients.

Then I found this thread (so pleased I did) which has various different recipes, I have purhased some basic ingredients:

    Wholemeal flour
    SR flour
    Plain flour
    Canderel
    WW
    Silverspoon light sugar
    Cornflour
    Lemon
    Dried friut
    Eggs
    Pure honey
    Mixed herbs
    Vanilla extract
    Mixed spice
    Nutmeg
    Marmitr
    Tomato puree
    Turmeric powder
    Bag of chick peas
    Course ground black pepper
    Garam Masala whole
    Vegetable stock cubes
    Oregano
    Chilli powder
    Carrotts
    Pasta
    Rice
    Tinned tomoto's

As I say, I took most of the ingredients from this site, I'm a bit embarassed to be honest, if anyone from the OS threads could see what I've spent, I doubt they'd be pleased.

I'm hoping in the long run it will work out cheaper, just a question of me finding recipes that I can use the ingredients on.

There are a lot of recipes on this site, although I get confused as to whether they are healthy towards weight loss.

    Sorry for the long post.

    Hi Froggy!

Really depends on how the take away cooks it (lots of oil and stuff in the sauce). Personally I would have an Indian , boiled rice with tandoori chicken. Hardly any oil as the tandoori chicken is dry cooked. I might even stretch to a veg dish again not swamped in sauce. Oh sorry I've gone off into food heaven! That of course is my preference you might not even like Indian food! Blast got myself in the mood for a take away! Where did I leave that menu?
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

Not sweet and sour sauce! one of the heaviest kcals wise you can have - something like black bean sauce would be better
