Judging by the small number of posts today I reckon everyone is out enjoying themselves! :D We took a nice long walk, went to the funfair for a while and then watched the cricket :) Did a little bit of wii fit, so a very easy day.

10past6, I have absolutely nothing by way of kitchen appliances, I do all my chopping, mixing, whisking, slicing etc manually. I do have some cheap digital scales, useful in the kitchen and for working out postage for ebay ;)

For breadcrumbs you can grate bread, it's a bit easier if you put it in the oven first to dry it out - or grate it from toast if crunchy breadcrumbs will do. I seem to remember my sis putting dried bread or toast in a freezer bag and going over it with a rolling pin to make crumbs - not tried that myself though.

Wow Bails! Impressed by your low gas and elec there! Hope you've had a good weekend.

Stats tell me I should be on course for at least a 1lb loss tomorrow, sadly I can tell from the scales already that isn't going to happen *sniff* I am looking forward to seeing the detailed breakdown though, it might help me make some sense of things. For the number people it's 1185/day average and I would say between lightly and moderately active this week.

10past scanbran is in Holland and barrett, grow your own herbs, easy enough, fresh mint is fantastic and rosemary grows like the clappers, very easy to grow.:D

Very low gas and elec:rolleyes: I have just bought some energy saving light bulbs, put off by the vast expense to begin with but they last 10 times longer and save elec and that is what we need, saving money:D

Yes, I have knives, pots & pans, but there does seems a lot of electrical appliances on the market, (who's idea was it to confuse us?) which I have no idea about, just wondering which one would be best (at the cheapest price)

Re the carrot cake, it looked simple to make i never gave it a thought about the scanbran.

And BB, I have a Pink pair of trousers, which I have no problem wearing when I can get into them

May I also ask please, is it better to buy fresh, dried or frozen herbs & spices?

Thumbs up to you all re the weight loss :A
10past: I don't think there are any must haves when it comes to electrical, but as you start cooking more, there may be things you naturally start thinking would be useful. An electric whisk - like a large stick can be very useful and come fairly cheap at argos. A sharp knife does do wonders. Fresh herbs can be expensive and you don't alwys need a large quantity, but you can buy basil and parsley in pots for your windowsill that last longer. I buy frozen for convenience - like frozen veg, they are frozen very quickly after picking so retain their flavour and goodness. Like jules, I have gradually collected various dried herbs as I've needed them.
As for the pink trousers - some pinks are nice, but these are a hard, dull sort of pink and nothing looks good with them.

Bails - how in earth do you manage that with your utilies?:A We'd use less if we didn't have lodgers who use the central heating more than we would, but even so...

    Hi everyone!

Hope everyones had a good weekend! Mine has been Fab. Went to brighton today to pick up the pots we made last time we went, they look so good (even if i do say so myself!) The place was packed!! i must say, out of the two times i went i think i saw more of the "real" brighton then i did today! Reminded me of home, full of tourists! Hardly saw any gays either this time! Went to donatellos again for lunch, might have to go there for my 22nd birthday i think! We also went on the carosel thing on the beach, well good! Did lots of shopping (got a handbag, and a swimming costume!)

My weight loss/healthy living regime starts as of tomorrow. My swimming costume has padded boob bits, so it actually looks like ive got some! The only trouble is, it cuts into my leg a bit and i have a really horrible fat bulge where my thigs are :( but hey, maybe that will go? (wishful thinking i think!)

Beanie: I wont get my results for ages yet. I'll get what my lecturers have marked them as but thats an unofficial one. Wont get my final final overall grade untill next year. Last years lot are still waiting for theres now!

Got a busy week work wise :( Debenhams mega day and i start my new job! i also need to visit my friends new born baby! i was taking matt around all the baby shops today, some of the prices for baby clothes are out of this world! For the amount of material and for the length of time they will wear them for its hardly worth it.

BB: Where the hell is primark in brighton!!?

Missyg: is it me, or were i imagining that it was your birthday soon?

Glad you had a good time:j - I knew it would be packed as it was so sunny (I had a laugh yesterday when you suggested going on sunday 'might be quieter!!) Primark is on western Road - as you come out of Churchill Sq (the shopping mall with debenhams in it) you are on western Rd - M&S opposite you - turn left and it's not very far on your right. As for baby clothes, I'm sure you can get them very cheap from charity shops - I am always seeing very clean, near perfect quality small kids clothes in there because they grow out of them so quick. I can't understand your degree - who ever heard of not getting results for a year? How are you supposed to get a job in the intervening year based on your degree? Wierd.

As for the pink trousers - some pinks are nice, but these are a hard, dull sort of pink and nothing looks good with them.

If you use blue dye they should go purple, BB, which would be a result. And it semms to be 'in' at the moment.

Vix .... many many congratulations on getting through the exams. I'm glad you had a fun day in Brighton to celebrate. You said you wanted a big sticker for all your hard work ... will this do?
