Bails you've definitely set the standard with your low gas & elec (are you really considering switching?) That is an eye opener, I always thought mine were fairly low - we use a below average amount I'd say and we're very good at switching things off. Perhaps my ancient appliances aren't as efficient as they could be :)

Let us know how you get on with the dye job BB! My couple of attempts in the past have been a disaster :rotfl: I wish there was something that would shrink cotton clothes! Is there, does anyone know?

Hey Vix glad you had a good time! Good luck with your new routine starting today, we'll look forward to hearing how it goes! You're right about baby clothes, it isn't worth it, a few vests and babygrows is plenty for the first few months. I almost always give 12 months stuff as gifts when it's a newborn, something to put away for later because I know what it was like being a new Mum inundated with tiny clothes!

Vix/Beanie you are both correct my birthday is Wednesday, but more relevant to this thread it will be my one year anniversary of starting to lose weight :D

Raph - hugs - I feel your frustration, I've been there before (and similar this week). Are you measuring as well as weighing and are you getting body fat/muscle data too? I am pretty sure all the exercise you are doing will be having a fantastic effect on your body even though the overall weight loss isn't what you are hoping for at the moment.

KPC - hope that's sorted once and for all now? I'll look forward to your cooking tips too.

Great progress there Wendy, really happy to hear that.

Victory - same here - there was someone with a COAT on the school walk today! :rotfl: Amusing :p

Hope everyone's alright - have a good week all!

I've dyed loads of things missyg and always with great sucess. Sometimes I'll buy something I like in white/light beige so I can dye it a colour i want - in the latest case, I have never dyed something with a strong clour I want to make something differtn, and haven't died silk before. Am wearing more old summer clothes with safety pins today as they are now 2 sizes too big: A bit skint and can't face town in this heat anyway.
You could try my mothers method of shrinking - when I was young she put my damp damart gloves in the oven to warm through before I cycled to school - came out about the right size for a doll:rotfl: .
Er bails, why are you considering switching!! £10 a month on gs/electric over winter is extremely impressive. (Must find a bowing, I am not worthy smilie:rotfl: )I suppose if you find a cheaper tariff you would save even more. Would you come and sort mine out please:D .
Correct me if I am wrong missyg, but didn't the time you got to your lowest ever weight a few months ago co-incide with not eating properly due to things going on in your life? Therfore now you are eating properly and exercising, then you must now be at your lowest weight possible for maximum healthy effort?
kpc - I really hope that things continue to work out for you both xxx
Umming and arring about going swimming this afternoon for the first time in aeons...
Good to hear you happy and chilled these last few days victory. Good luck with the Dr's today.
10past6 - re the cake recipe: it depends what your priorities are - learning to cook; learning to cook cheaply; or learning to cook low fat recipies. Cake is always going to be a 'treat food' if you are trying to lose weight, and as kpc say, this one has quite a lot of oil and sugar in it, whereas the sw doesn't. I'm sure their are ww ones too.

That's correct BB well remembered, but I have learned since then that a "relaxed" week costs me 3-4lb :o and so if I'm planning a splurge few days (which I was this week but will have to be later now), that's the deficit I need to build up beforehand :) I'll enjoy it much more if I know I already have the leeway!

Have a good time if you do go swimming! If you haven't been for a long time I hope your cossie isn't too baggy!

I've had two mini cheeseburgers for lunch today, not the healthiest thing I know and pretty high on the cals but still within my allowance with some to spare for later. At least the rolls were wholegrain ;)

I will have a fat blasting sesh in the gym later, and I've done double walking today from posting ebay stuff!

Nope, not measuring, and can only get onto a body fat scale during my reviews at the gym.
I think I have a TOTM due, hoping that's the reason for the tiny loss, and hopefully a big drop next week.

Made myself walk to the swimming pool and jolly well go swimming. But they wouldn't let me in - changed policy since I could last go and now they won't let anyone in with less than half an hour before session closes:confused: . 25 mins of session left and 4 women in the pool, but more than their jobs worth to let me in:( . Very disappointing. (15 mins is all I expected to manage) (And feel spoilt even saying that, let alone feeling it as in the grand scheme of things it's not terribly important.)
    Raph - you've had this pattern before have't you - I reckon next week you'll have a delicious loss:T .
Thanks for the clarification missy - jus checkin:D (Oh and got a smaller cossie I wore once about 5 years ago before I bought the next size up)

bb shame they would not let you in but don't be disheartened for the next time at least you know you could have done it and fab that you walked there:D

Doc says blah blah blah (we have a mutual dislike society going on because I missed 2 appointments and she hates me for it and the venom that comes out of her voice:rotfl: :rotfl: she can't fake it:rotfl: ) higher dosage, more blood tests, see ya' they so could have rang me for that:rolleyes:

missyg tell us what you are going to eat:D again, again again:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh BB :( That IS disappointing and please don't feel 'spoilt' for saying so because anyone would have felt the same! If you ask me that's a strange rule  but I suppose they have their reasons. Did you at least have a nice walk?

Raph I agree with BB, I sense a decent loss for you next week!

Quiet on here this afternoon isn't it!

I've done my workout, could only manage 30 minutes, I was wilting! It was a good one though, half on the bike and half on the cross trainer, and I'll do 10 mins on the wii fit later.

Ooh Wendy! Your birthday plans sound fab! I've tried to persuade people to go ice skating with me in the daytime but nobody's having it  This is one activity where it really is more fun with at least one friend, and I like going when it's relatively empty. Oh well whatever happens it will be a good day, how could it not when the weather is this gorgeous?! :D Have you managed to persuade any of your friends to swim with you yet?

Victory - do you mean tell you what I have planned for my belated birthday splurge? :p I am hoping to have a meal out which will probably be a whole day's calorie allowance in one go :rotfl: And apart from that I have hidden away some crisps and sweets to have as extras (over a few days, not all in one go), nothing terribly exciting but they are my faves! :D Sorry you had a bit of a wasted trip to the Doc there

    Howdy partners!

Cant say my new regime is going so well as planned. Ive gone to work and then i cleaned the bathroom and hoovered the landing and poeples rooms, tired to make that my extra bit of movement but i dunno...

Maybe i should buy a range of older clothes for the baby. I just cant wait for a cuddle and much needed baby holding practise. I wonder when the day will come when i can stand up and hold the baby instead of sit down!!

Granny: LOVED the sticker :p ha.

Im off to a quiz tonight. Debenhams quiz, held at a pole dancing bar???? heh.

i probaly had more to say but i cant remember! No doubt i'll be back :p

10past six, I'll try and post later with some cooking tips becasue i do lots and lots of it. The recipe you've posted above looks easy, but there's a lot of oil and sugar in it which i'd avoid if i were you.
    Hi Katie :hello:

Aww, thx for your advice, I guessed when I looked at that cake recipe it loooked a bit "Dodgy" :rotfl:

I look forward to your recipes as and when your ready ;)
