    Morning all!

Too bad today wasn't my official weigh in, as I weighed 8.0 stone exactly. Lightest I have been for 10 weeks! :D My weight has been strange this past week though so I'm not going to truly believe it yet - though I feel much better knowing my efforts last week MIGHT have paid off after all! :D

One thing I am doing is having my food allergy tests repeated next week, as it's been a while since they were last done. I was alarmed recently when cucumber started to give a reaction as that's always been a safe one before

Lemon Drop, fab about the cycling (but not about the leg). Are you feeling any after effects today? Isn't the weather just wonderful for cycling at the moment *happy sigh*... I'm off out on my bike after this! Yippee!

Thank you for the food info KPC!

Wendy - just great to hear the sleep is improving, hope it continues like that for you!

Have a great day everyone xx

    Morning All

Lots and lots of reading yet again!! lol

Had a busy weekend, Luton Legends beat Arsenal Pro Celebrity 2-1 which was good, I even bought a new Luton top, still couldnt buy a football shirt though :( but the top is now a L and last year the same top was an XXL :) MrsS and I then had a walk back to my parents via a sandwich in the park. Then headed up to MK to see Steve Steinman in his Meatloaf show, very good too. I have booked tickets to see the real Meat in July, in Bath! lets just hope he turns up. MrsS has still to see him, three times last year she tried  she was ill once and he was twice!!

Sunday I measured up and bought french doors, back door and a window, friend of mine will be putting them in, with my able assistance :) hit the gym and then a three mile walk to finsh. Monday was just busy busy busy. Due to holidays I am working on my own, which is fine, I just might be busy :) Tomorrow I have a meeting in Maidenhead and Thursday, one in MK, 5 mins from the gym!! result :j

Anways I trust you are all well, KPC glad things are working out, and I hope they contune to do so. Its our 3 year anniversary of our first date today :) it was meant to be a drink and then move on to something to eat in Bedford, we ended up chatting so much we didnt get anything to eat! :)

Missy I think sometimes the daily analysis, does not always transcribe immediately to losses or gains? I recall last year saying that whatever I did eating and exercise wise last week, would reflect on the scales this week. I know it sounds odd, but there could be an element of truth. Take last weekend, I didnt play rugby, but still had a 4lb gain over the weekend, this weekend just gone, 2 weeks after rugby and barely a gain  I dont understand it, and I know some people do not argee with me, but I would love to understand more when the decrease or increase in calories consumed are actually reflected in the body. I hope that made sense. Nice little loss btw, and I sometimes crave a sloppy burger, but cant allow myself to eat one. Sloppy Burger - burger, and either cheese, egg, bacon, salad etc etc drool!!!! :p so wheres the birthday kiss? lol

Shame about the doctors victory, I had a consultant like that once i I walked out in the end! Refused to go back! Belated well done on completing the exams Vix, hope it all goes well for you. Bails your gas and electric bill is impressive, mine is £59 per month for both. I do need to change suppiler and will do, but am waiting on my most recent bill first. Then will ensure I use Quidco etc to get some cashback. :)BB my gym has the same rule about using the pool, I know it used to be abused, but hey were never that much of a jobsworth. Have you ever shopped near closing time, on Sunday even M&S had all bar one shutter down ten minutes early!! 10past6 lots of great advice re cooking on here, I might even try the chickpea cake KPC :) I guess you cant use tinned chick peas? I have been eating stirfrys for a long time, even tried, noddles, onions, beansprouts and soy sauce for a type of chow mein :)

Well done on the 4lb loss Anic

Right best try get hold of the boss

Keep smiling and keep losing :)

brilliant wendy! so pleased for you. it'll be good for your weightloss too - if you are sleeping properly your body is working better!

I don't know how to quote so i've copied the chickpea cake recipe and it's here . . . .

Not sure if you're going to like the ingredients but honestly, the cake is delicious....

a can chickpeas drained and blended
    1.5 cups canderel
    3 eggs
    1tsp baking powder
    1 lemon rind and juice
    2 tbsp lemon curd

mix all ingredients place in small loaf tin and bake for 30-40 minutes at gas 4 180°C

I was v sceptical as diet cakes are generally quite rubbish but this one was yummy!

    Hi Katie

Thanks for this recipe, however, may I please ask, I have a packet of chickpeas, can I use them if so, what do I do with them, and what quantity would I need?

As for the canderel, what size cups would that be?

    Morning all!

Bails - they are so beautiful. Seeing the little ginger one really got to me. My Finkles died about this time last year. He was a gorgeous ginger tom. Dopey as heck but so loving. Used to charge at the fireplace and then climb up the chimney!

I've been so busy this week. I think I'll have a good loss this week. I was naughty and looked this morning and I'm just half a pound over 13st! I can't wait to be 12 st something again! It has been a long time coming. Shopping trip on Sat was lovely with my two friends. We walked down Kensington High Street sipping our frappacinno's, sunglasses on giggling all the way. My friends kept telling me how great I looked and we went into H&M's for 2 hours trying on loads of stuff. Of course we ended up buying mainly for the kids and hubby's but it was nice being able to try on the clothes without little voices going 'I'm bored'. Well I have to be off soon to teach my art class. Have nice day!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

Grrrrrrrrrrr..... I don’t believe I typed out a huge post and MSE deleted the darn thing as it said I wasn’t logged in!! Heck of a reminder to do it in Word just to be on the safe side

    Guess I’ll start again

    Good Morning :)

It’s great to see so many familiar names still posting and also to see so many new names although, as I haven’t posted for so long, guess I’m the stranger.

You took my name off the first post where I was feeling immortalised so I’m back!!!

Re-joined SW last night as I felt heavier than I’ve ever been. Turns out I’m still lighter than that (by 1 IB :rotfl: ) but I’m of a better mindset now and will succeed this time. Before I rejoined class I threw everything out of my fridge and cupboard that was bad for me so no more homemade (and very fattening) chocolate cake. I do remember that my signature is still very relevant but to ease things I'm simply going to remove the temptation. :rolleyes2

I really can’t remember much from the long original post I lost and I’m running out of time (got to get back to work) so I just need to wish all those yet to weigh in every success this week. :T

No worries Beanie! The mum is a real cutie, she's a stray who's adopted us very slowly over the past 10 months. She's quite young, we think this is her first litter so were surprised to have so many (she had 4 but a gorgeous little tabby boy didn't make it :(). Tagz, I hope it wasnt too upsetting and brought back happy memories, I love the chimney story! If you feel it's time for another one... ;)
