suggs and 10past - yes, use tinned chickpeas, I do for the cake recipe - I've cooked mine that is with apricots and almond essence, not lemond crud/rind.
    Hi BB

    Re the recipe:
a can chickpeas drained and blended
    1.5 cups canderel
    3 eggs
    1tsp baking powder
    1 lemon rind and juice
    2 tbsp lemon curd

mix all ingredients place in small loaf tin and bake for 30-40 minutes at gas 4 180°C

I was v sceptical as diet cakes are generally quite rubbish but this one was yummy!

I don't have tinned chickpeas, although I do have chickpeas in a bag, can I use them instead, if so, do I have to cook them 1st?

    Thanks

    hi everyone,
    reporting a sts this week.
maybe next week will be back to loosing. we shall see.

have skimmed the last couple of pages, i cant possibly catch up on all i have missed. well done those of you who have lost and maintained and good luck everyone else who still ahs to weigh in.

someone asked about freezing...general rule is something can be frozen once raw and once cooked, and reheated once after cooking. so if something is cooked and frozen once its thawed and heated it cant be reheated as leftovers another day.

I chose the Fab! :p Then took son & his friend to the park, so an extra 1.5 miles walk on top of 2 miles already done today, joined in at the park (they are too young to be embarrassed by that at the moment :rotfl: ) plus the cycling, and walking around the shops, and washed, dried & ironed all the bedding - have hardly stopped moving all day!

Hope I have done enough to wake up to a nice round number tomorrow on the anniversary of starting to lose weight :)

Well done on your STS PCL!

Anyone had anything nice for dinner tonight? :)

Bails, the kittens are gorgeous and she looks a very proud mum. I had my cats neutered because if they had kittens I'd want to keep them all!!

Just a quick pop in, its a STS for me this week, must get organised. Well done and good luck to everyone with their weigh ins this week.

Congrats on getting back to 8st. :T

I think I would have cycled around the block to get my 19.8 miles to a nice round 20, but maybe that's my OCD side coming out. :D

    Bails

You might see this question on another thread, but were the kittens born today? I thought they would be bald like gerbils are when they are born (duh)

Although that could all change because of me eating 1/3 of a bread & butter type pudding made with some muffins that went horribly wrong when I cooked them on Sunday - no one else liked the pudding either and as I am in the 'Food Waste Challenge' I really didn't want to throw it out - but to preserve some of my waist line I shovelled the rest into the bin. So bad for the waste whilst good for the waist if you see what I mean

Thanks Bargainbabe, FFM I replied on the 4K but yes they come out like that, they were born last night. She's a stray, hence wasn't done but she'll be taken to the vet once she's recovered. I'm going to have to be very tough to let them go but I may become an official foster mother at the Home (we're doing it unofficially this time but with their help) so will have to get a lot tougher :D
