Morning all (can't sleep). My weight loss this week is 1lb taking my weight loss to 21lbs so far, which means I am exactly half way (want to lose 3 stone). This is the first time for ages I have been able to post on the right day to get in the chart, I have still been dieting. (What a nightmare  )

    Hi Wendy,

Sounds like you've cracked it and put the pattern right, in which case I'm delighted to have helped a little. Good luck with keeping it up and as someone said - it'll help you lose more weight too!:T

    happy birthday missy!!!!!!!

reporting with a 0.8kg loss which i'm very chuffed about. The extra walking that i'm doing seems to be paying off! Well done all you other losers, good result for beanie there although i know it asn't the one you wanted. welcome back erlqueen. Nic, you weigh in when you want in big bold letters, but the chart is publsihed wednesday evening. You don't have to give your start weight, just your gain or loss.

I weighed 1.5 cups of canderel and it came out at about 28g. DO NOT USE THIS CONVERSION FOR ANYTHING ELSE!!!!!!!

suggs, what bb said about chickpeas. 10past six, you can use up your dried chickpeas for this recipe, but I think it would be a bit of a waste - dried chickpeas have much more texture than tinned, and would be better used for something else. try this:

chickpea and pasta soup(adapted from nigella's 'how to eat')

    green - free
    red - are you mad?!?

    bag dried chickpeas(usu 500g)
    2 teaspoons bicarb of soda
    2 tablespoons of flour
    2 tablespoons of salt
3 litres stock made with chicken bovril
    3 sprigs rosemary
    8 cloves garlic
400g carton of passata(if it's a bigger carton just use it up)
270g small pasta tubes or bows like ditalini

put the chickpeas in a bowl and fill it with water. Mix the bicarb, flour and salt with a bit of water to make a paste and pour into the chickpeas, stirring well. LEAVE TO SOAK FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS. I set this going the morning before the evening i eat it..

drain and rinse the chickpeas. Put in a huge pot and add the stock. Put the rosemary sprigs in a little muslin bag and drop in. IF you don't have a muslin bag use about 2 teaspoons of dried rosemary. Or get a cheap popsock from the corner shop, use that and throw it away at the end. Add the garlic, cover the pan and cook on a very low simmer for up to 4 hours for the chickpeas to be tender. fish out hte rosemary and garlic, tip in the tomatoes and pasta and boil till cooked. You may need some more boiling water YOu can serve it with grated parmesan if you like. The leftovers soak up all the juices so you get chickpea and pasta salad for lunch the next day.

I can't remember if i posted this on the recipe thread. Can someone quote it and paste it over there - I don't know how and I can't copy this text!

missyg you have inspired me to get going so into town today and around town, town is 1.5 miles away there so 3 miles and around will be a bit more, nowhere near yours but that is all I can do on a good day like today:D

I am like you in the way I am desperate to get the stonage down to a 0 not a 5lb after it but those 5lb are not really necessary but I want it, aim towards it each week but each week it escapes me:rolleyes: infact I would want the 5lb and a 2lb leeway but that is 7lb and they point blank refuse to move:rolleyes:

    Morning!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISSYG!

    :bdaycake:

    I am very happy to post a loss of 3lbs :j :j :j !

Going to aquafit again today. Hope the lady whose car hit mine last week isn't there as I don't want anything to spoil today and getting arrested for drowning someone may sully it.
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!
  • Morning everyone,

Jeez you lot can talk! I don't have much time to go through all the posts but HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISSYG!!

I'm reporting a 1lb gain this week. I'm blaming my mum entirely as she came home from Tenerife with bags of tropifruit haribo and the black and red berries with the beads on and a massive bar of toblerone style choclate. Most of it was eaten over the weekend though and I am determined to be 100% on plan this week to lose the gain.

    Hope everyone is well

    hiya everyone,

i would like to join in on this thread . .. . . if thats ok :)

im not part of any slimming club but as of monday im going to go it alone ...... again!
a few years ago i was just over 14stone, i lost 2 stone when i joined slimming world but have recently put loads back on.
had a few ups and downs and been on a low recently so tomorrow im having my hair done -confidence boost, then i want to try and slim down for the summer :)

i recently bought a nintendo wii as a bit of an incentive for excerise, i love the sports pack the boxing is brill!
hopefully i`ll get wii fit next week and i plan to make sure i go on that once a day possible morning and night.

reading this thread is really inspirational and know its time for me to do something! i tend to snack eat, dont eat proper meals all day or just eat a really big meal at night . .. . . time for that to change!

i will get weighed on sunday and start my diet on monday.
are we allowed to put tickers in our signature? like weight loss ones?

    thanks everyone
