    brave girl tagz!

reporting a loss of 0.2kg today. slowly slowly catchy monkey and all that. bb forgot to say, if you find any good sw cake recipes do please share - i've yet to find any - all the ones i've tried were a bit bleagh (except the chickpea cake on the lw recipe thread, that one was really nice).

best go and get ready for work, have to scrub today, off into co-op head office. i'm never sure whether to be please at the number of comments i get when i 'suit up' - am i really that much of a scruff on a daily basis?
well done KPC - hope you catch that monkey soon

I know about suiting up - I had one bloke say when I had "brushed up" for the day that I was very smart and was making him look bad as I could normally be relied on to be as scruffy as him (and that wasn't a compliment) could normall
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

    Hi Peeps

Hope everyone is feeling okay today, or at least better than yesterday :D ...

...tagz I really felt for you when I read of your reaction to the photos not-tagged-smiley-14571.gif, I'm 5'3" so I know how you feel, but unlike me you were brave enough to have the photos taken, I wasn't, and now I'm at target I regret that cowardice :o it would be so nice to see the difference. When you get to target I look forward to seeing these before pics and the afters! :D ...

...Welcome rockrat I like your take on things and it's made me think (no rude comments peeps :rotfl: ) I'm going through a phase where I'm constantly grazing at the expense of eating proper meals, and I think that's what's leaing me constantly peckish:confused: Time to take myself in hand I think!!...

...Well done to all of you who have losses this week, and to the gainers? Well done for posting your gains :j ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

tagz the photos idea is fantastic, I did that and look at them every now and then because now they bringa smile to my face as to how far I have come, also keep one piece of clothing, mine is a black pair of dress trousers that are massive now:D everytime I feel like flagging I just put on the trousers walk around for a bit and realise that this is the way I want to be now and not as I was then:D

missyg did you get a chance to read my PM?:D

Tagz, I'm so sorry to hear how upset you were about the photos but Wendy is right, once you've reached target you're going to be so glad you have them! I had to go back a really long way before I could find a "before" picture, because I had avoided being in front of the camera for such a long time! Others on here have the most fantastic before/after pictures and it won't be long till you're one of them! :D

KPC well done on the loss! Hope your day goes well. I think it's nice to be able to transform oneself a bit, it doesn't mean you're a scruff normally, just that they can see you've made extra effort! I must admit I think the same when people say something like "you've lost tons of weight!" - was I really THAT big before?! :rotfl:

Anyone yet to weigh, good luck but please please don't fall apart if it's not what you expect/hope :)

After all the chat recently about porridge I have been trying to acquire the taste for it and just went for my first proper full serving, but could only eat half :o so there's a failure, and I won't be trying again for a long time *green face smiley* Annoying! But I can't force myself!

I'm off to do a final tweak on my monthly grocery order now, that should make me feel better!

Victory - sorry PM confusion! You have a PM now!

Wow! Big reality check for me! Decided to take the plunge and ask my OH to take some 'before' pics of me. Well I knew there was a reason I hated photos but these really take the biscuit. I cried and I'm still upset! I knew I was overweight but when I look in the mirror I still see someone who is a bit plump but not too bad. I am huge!! Seeing those photos has made me realise how big I am to others. At 5ft 3 and 13st 5lbs I know I'm not exactly Twiggy but still it was really a massive suprise. Time to get my head out of the sand. I can tell you it's made me more determined to shed the excess!

But you'll be so pleased when you see the difference in a while. I wish I'd had more photos when I was larger, I avoided the camera and then destroyed most of the pictures that were taken ... almost every old pjoto I have has my back view or my face hidden. I thought they were all very unflattering but now it's just those 'unflattering' photos that I want to see. The cheering up effect now IS worth the pain of facing up to the present.

Having said that, I still lose  a lot of pictures because some of them are ... let's say ... not quite so comforting as others.

A big well done :T :T :T for being so much braver than I was.

Lost 1lb this week . Hooray!

Delly -- are you doing the chart next month or passing it on? If you are passing it on, have you got a volunteer? I'm here if needed.

    Hi rockrat - welcome!

Tagz: Another 5 foot 3er here! I think you just gotta say to yourself, these are my "before" pics which one day i will look on my after pics and think wow. You'll probably still cringe at them when you see them, but at least you know its not what you look like anymore! When i start my weight loss im going to take some before pics, maybe wack on a bikini and get my bloke to take a front and side shot. Otherwise i wont believe it if i have lost anything! I still look down and see a size 16 body before me, even though that was years ago now.

I well gotta get on with my revision now!!

    Well done granny x

slow but steady this week with another 1lb loss

just 2lbs away from being under 100kg. or should that be just 1kilo away from being 15st 10

be careful out there - never know when a choccie biscuit might be planning to trip you up

Well done Mark - slow and steady wins the race!

    Hello Everyone!

Tagz - I know exactly what you mean! I saw a photo of myself from last week and I CANNOT BELIEVE I've managed to ignore my steady weight increase this long  . However - it's been a big wake up call which is what I needed.

Started my new eating regime today - and I'll be back on Wednesday to report my first weeks weight loss :j
