Hi all. Welcome to all the newbies (quite a few of you!) and well done all those who have lost.
I have gained another 3.5lbs this week but I am coping, especially as the scale said that I had gained 10 lbs just 3 days ago. See - I said i had big swings. I think suggs and ajax often talk of bigs swings - perhaps I have the constitution of a bloke! Anyway, I am back on track so I am hoping that the scale will show a significant reduction. I was too lax in the recent past and it will change.
I am taking over the chart from dellybelly for the month of May. Please feel free to correct me at any point if I make mistakes - haven't done the chart in a while so I might be rusty!0 -
Welcome to rockrat and PinkLipGloss! Well done to everyone reporting in this week, just being here is proof that you value yourself.
As for the meds conversation, I spend just over a grand on them a year! And that's not even seeing the doctor or anything, just the meds :rolleyes: At the end of the day, my health is the most important thing so other things get sacrificed in the hope of getting well (and is why I'm on the 4K challenge :rotfl:).
Well done BB for not weighing in this week and trusting in yourself. Great news about Mr BB, especially the positive thoughts!

I'm having a light eating day today, as I have had 2 decent meals the past 2 days and have been slightly over my cals both days
Got my "double budget" shopping being delivered tomorrow, there are going to be a lot of extra things in there which need to be hidden away until the middle of May :rotfl:
Need to exercise, think I'll go for a DVD (and add weights) today when my Ryvitas have had chance to settle!0 -

I always feel that my body works so much better in water. I can hold my breath for longer in water. I can stay under for ages and just breathe out, try and do it out of it and noooope.
Last time i was in water was at the spa! (good day that was!)

Can I report a 1lb gain this week.
I've got no excuses - it is all down to me being a greedy mare. If it didn't have legs to run away - I just ate it. I am just grateful it wasn't more - having said that knowing my luck it will catch up with me this week as well!!!!0 -
Wow! Big reality check for me! Decided to take the plunge and ask my OH to take some 'before' pics of me. Well I knew there was a reason I hated photos but these really take the biscuit. I cried and I'm still upset! I knew I was overweight but when I look in the mirror I still see someone who is a bit plump but not too bad. I am huge!! Seeing those photos has made me realise how big I am to others. At 5ft 3 and 13st 5lbs I know I'm not exactly Twiggy but still it was really a massive suprise. Time to get my head out of the sand. I can tell you it's made me more determined to shed the excess!
Big hugs for you Tagz! I totally understand about the head in the sand bit. When I first joined SW I honestly didn't think I looked that bad. I always comforted myself with the fact that I was "in proportion" and didn't really need to lose much weight. Then I got on the scales and found I weighed in at 3 pounds under 30 stone!!:eek::eek:

Not sure if I was delusional or just had a huge ego (to go with my huge bum and boobs!!)!
And as riduculous as it sounds I still (after losing 6 stone with another 14 to go) don't think I look too bad!! Maybe it is an ego thing after all!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can happily report a loss of 1 and a half lbs. :j I suspect it's nearer two but my scales aren't the best. Think I'm going to get a better set. Went to aquafit this morning and will get on the old xtrainer again this afternoon (the kids are dying to have a go!). I've recovered from the shock of the photos :eek: but they are burnt into my memory and I'll think of them when I feel like slipping off the wagon!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0
