I was up to 12.5 stone at the end of my pregnancy!!! Bump was enormous! I was only 9.5 stone when I started - it was all baby though... I was back down to 9 stone within 3 months of the birth, then went even lower for a while during breastfeeding, and when I was running around after baby, forgetting to eat!
It's cool to have a weight loss twin (or near enough)0 -
In all the excitment I forgot to say
1.4lb Loss this week
Figures for the week
BMI 32.5% from 33.08% (not sure about the maths though)
Body Fat 23.8% from 24%
Muscle Mass 11.7.4lb from 11st 8lb
Welcome to Peke well done on saving the £'s now to focus on losing some lb's
Congrats Suggs on your loss; those figures are looking pretty impressive!
I'd like to add my welcome and congrats to Peke, as well. It must feel great to be debt free and saving. Keep up the wonderful effort; and good luck with the weightloss.

Oh Kit, I wish I had the definitive answer to that question!
Firstly are you definitely eating enough during the day? If your intake is too low to start with you are bound to feel hungry.
How much have you reduced your food by, compared to before you were trying to lose weight - roughly? If you've cut down dramatically then that could be another reason.
Is there a particular time of day when hunger hits you? Are you going too long between food perhaps?
If you feel like it (and absolutely NO pressure to do so), you could post up a typical day's meal plans and I'm sure some of the foodies on the thread would be able to suggest ways of making it more filling and still healthy? Or help with healthier choices for snacks.0 -
Missyg,
Happy birthday for this month....I hope you had a lovely day.
You did well to get on top of the situation before it got well out of hand.
Thanks for posting your chart...Whilst the figures sound impressive; they look even more impressive. Well done!
In some respects, maintaining is a bigger contract than losing; so to me, it makes sense for maintainers to stay on in the WL forums, because it helps them stay on track. Humans by nature, get comfy in a situation, and whoopsy daisy, we wake up one morning and realize we have undone all our good work. I'm sure you'll do fine, with the support of all these fine people.
Hope you have a great weekend.

thanks beanielou and serenity I'm pretty certain that it was mostly totm but I can be quite an emotional person over stupid things and extremely strong over the most difficult stuff (for example - blubbing over moving offices:o - but dealt with the aftermath of Omagh in my store 10 years ago with, not ease by any means, but with a strength I didn't think I'd have at aged 25!)
I just plan to have to relax and take it easy this weekend, and take the changes at work as they come, there's not much else I can do! I was sad to leave some very good friends behind and it's unlikely that I'll see them much anymore, things just got a bit overwhelming this afternoon.
Back on plan again tomorrow - no excuses!
Have a great weekend everyone.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
PinkLipgloss your backpacking trip is going to be awesome! Are you interrailing it? I am leaning towards doing the non-working holiday, just doing some basic costs at the moment to make sure I can justify the money for what I want to do
missyg - I'm currently reading Lonely Planet's "Europe on a Shoestring". It seems that the cheapest way to do it is to fly from the UK to a major capital in mainland Europe and then use the cheap interrail ticket to get around mainland Europe. I can't wait! Where are you thinking of going to?
suggs - congrats on your continued loss! :j
kit - I had the exact same problem before I joined this thread. However, after joining I started FORCING myself to eat breakfast (I would previously always skip it) and you'd be amazed at the difference it makes! Even if I oversleep I grab a banana/apple on my way out of the door. I no longer feel sluggish during the day - or feel the need to snack in the evenings. After I finish eating dinner (which I make a point of eating before 8pm) I don't eat anything else the rest of the evening - it's not difficult - I don't feel like I'm restricting myself at all as I feel full. In fact - I don't even notice that I'm not eating.
I've also ditched drinking soft drinks (which along with snacking was my biggest vice) and am drinking lots of water instead. Drinking lots of cold water boosts your metabolism.
Make sure you always have a bowl of fresh fruit to hand - and snack on fruit if your get hungry between meals!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
suggs I agree with you, I see me as fat in the mirror, not the person others see, I see the stomach that can't wear a bikini, OH keeps saying I see it differently to others and I do, I see the whole last year and not this year, mind has not moved on to appreciate the good , just petrified of re-gain, the nice comments stopping, the clothes not fitting, :j :j :j :j on yet more loss:j :j :j how much more would you like to loose:D0

Thanks for asking beanie
I'm feeling quite bright and bubbly today, no particular reason though, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts :j The 'big' problem still looms in the background but as it will be at least 6 months before it can be resolved (fingers crossed) I'm trying very hard not to let it rule my life and feelings as it has done since January. MrP and DD are great helps :j .
I'm pleased that you're happier with the weight thingy, not having a set target is working well for you and allows you choice :j Have a lovely weekend
