Good Morning Peeps:hello:
I hope everyone is feeling brighter today :j ...
...delly Has the period of jury duty finished now? That must have been a pretty draining experience, I hope you feel better this morning :j ...
pet - the jury duty finished at the beginning of May and to be honest, I didn't find it too much of a struggle. It made a welcome break from the monotony that was my job at the time. I was only selected to serve on one trial and it was postphoned until september, so we were released from it.
Not feeling too bad today, the sun is blazing outside and my back garden is a little sun trap. Just about to go and get showered and dressed, feed DS his lunch and take him to the library for a run whilst the paddling pool in the back garden warms up1
Hope you're all getting lots of sun!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

How does everyone do it?! Lose weight I mean!
I dont ever seem full up eating healthy stuff...... I am trying really hard but am always turning to sweet stuff to make me feel full up. HELP?!
I don't think any of us would say it is easy and we are/have all done it in different ways.
I can only speak of the way that I did it, which was to follow the Rosemary Conley plan. It worked for me because there was plenty of food available, though I believe (and I'm not entirely sure) you can eat more on the red/green slimmers world diet - I've not done it so cannot really comment.
On the RC diet you get breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner, you can keep your pudding for later in the evening.
The way that I followed it meant that I ate at 7am, 10am, 12noon, 3pm, 6pm and 8pm. I also drank alot of water whilst I was dieting to help me feel full and flush away the fat (don't know if this is based on fact).
I still follow this eating regime and it means that I am never hungry. But I do sometimes want to eat something even though I am not hungry.
I got overweight in the first place by snacking through the evenings with OH whilst watching TV, plus having huge portions. I can still eat like a horse but I try to maintain 'normal' portion sizes and it is true that after 20 minutes you are no longer hungry - but it doesn't mean you don't want to eat more - you just don't need more.
There are alot of successful diets, it is finding the one that suits you.
Good luck and stick with us.

Hello all!
Thanks Serenity - wise words there about maintaining! I did have a nice birthday thank you. Which LW member has the next birthday, I wonder?
Hope your relaxed weekend all goes to plan Delly, sounds like that's just what you needLook after yourself.
PinkLipgloss, I'm sure you'll have everything under control but if you get stuck on anything about planning your trip please don't hesitate to give me a yell. Travelling Europe is a bit of a speciality of mine. As for my trip, I have a feeling my itinerary might be a bit optimistic at the moment and the ferry connections (and prices) between the Scandinavian countries were doing my head in yesterday - so I'm starting afresh with it today. The issue I have is the Dover-Dunkerque sailing was booked some time ago (because I thought I was doing something else) and so I have fixed outward & return dates. It's all good fun though!
Sounds like things are going well with your weight loss too. How are you feeling now? Hope you're much better. Having at least something for breakfast is much healthier than nothing in my bookI personally don't know HOW people can skip breakfast completely, my stomach would be rumbling like crazy!
Wotcha Pet, glad your man is through! I'm not sure I'd be happy to point out 'same size' people for anyone close to me, that seems a bit of a potential minefield :rotfl: Good to see you bubbly anyway - hope it continues
Dragon what's this about weirder then normal then? Hope it's a good weird not a bad weird?!
Not sure what we're doing today... trying to make my son do his homework first  Could take a while :rotfl:0 -

hi missyg
I think you know that Dr Dragon was signed off with Work Related Stress - well the docs decided that 2 weeks was not enough and signed him off for another two weeks (his BP was coming down and they figured another 2 weeks should see him right). Yesterday out of the blue his boss phoned (twice!) and Dr Dragon was physically shaking and was almost sick - so that was 2 weeks relaxation down the pan in 2 minutes flat! So I dragged him out to the pub for supper last night.
Good luck with getting your son to get his homework done BTW! :rotfl:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

kymrob - congrats on 3lb :j
missyg, I currently have 2 little monkeys in the back garden playing badminton in order to avoid revision and piano practice - but at least they are finally off of their laptops. It really is quite hard to incentivise youngsters to do their homework, but they seem to have it from such an early age these days. I'm sure I didn't get any until about 13. I did okay at school and poly without all this extra pressure.
I went out on my bike today for my weekend shopping trip, saving petrol and weight gain in one foul swoop (or is it a fowl swoop - I really don't know :rotfl: )
Would also like to report my very first true STS not a 0.2lb movement either way.

kit
Just had another thought, if you do feel hungry between your pre-set meal/snack times try brushing your teeth (strange but does work), have a drink of water (just in case you're actually thirsty) or failing everything go and do something (if you can) - it might take your mind off eating or just keep you busy until you can eat.
HTH
