.....you may wanna re-write that vix, I'm not too sure I'd want the likes of Suggs rubbing off on me...... ugh!

Vix, BMI is just a height/weight ratio and no allowance is made for big boobs.

Thanks KPC for answering my serious question while the boys went off on a major tangent there at the mere mention of a sports bra :rotfl:

Suggs, Wendy, anyone else... it's not surprising it takes a while to get used to a new size, especially after being a certain size most of your life, but it's worth really trying to be proud of your new size! We have put in a lot of effort to get there (and stay there) and it's such a waste to not appreciate it or be in denial about it :)

Thanks for the intro about yourself Chachiluz, it's a shame you've had some disappointment so far, and condolences about losing your Dad. Good luck with it! I'd better not talk about the boobs because it will just get the boys all flustered again

Ajax, it's the Mario & Sonic one my son's getting. Didn't arrive today :( The other half of the order did (wii play and second wiimote), and they were ordered and despatched at the same time. Oh well!

PinkLipgloss your backpacking trip is going to be awesome! Are you interrailing it? I am leaning towards doing the non-working holiday, just doing some basic costs at the moment to make sure I can justify the money for what I want to do :)

Not caught up yet. I'll be back!

Suggs you're in a bit of a transition at the moment, and that's perfectly normal :) It is important for you to make the right choices for yourself, unfortunately we can't help much with that but as soon as you've got a plan that's where we can step in and help support you with it! :D

I think it's important to retain some flexibility around targets too, for example there's no need to set a single target that you MUST remain at for the rest of your life. If your circumstances and lifestyle change, then it may be sensible to have a slightly different maintain weight at that time.

I know we need to keep an eye on the long term so we don't end up putting all the weight back on, but what about breaking down the loss/maintain goals and for example commit to staying or getting under a certain weight until the end of this year, and then next year make another 6 or 12 month plan? It might help you be less worried about putting the whole lot back on, and feel less daunting overall if you are looking at it in blocks of smaller timescales if that makes sense?

    :)

    Hello All

Having now got on top of my debts (first time Ive EVER had savings!!), its now time to finally deal with the weight.

Ive managed to slim down from almost 18 stone over a nunber of years and am determined to finally rid myself of excess pounds!! Im currently 12 stone 7 (those scales in Boots made me 5'5'' and Ive been kidding myself all my life Im 5'6''!) and I need to get to 10 stone 10 to be in my ideal BMI. I make that 1 stone 11 pounds to lose.

I feel this is the final few iles in what has been a struggle all my adult life so will need all the help I canm get now the goal is finally within sight. Ive followed the Slimming World plan and have found that works best for me - Original predominantly.

Ive now come to the conclusion that I really need to start doing some regular exercise, so my next webpage visit is the local gym!

Im going to weigh each month and am next due end of June.

    Keep you posted folks!!!

Welcome Peke and congrats on the lack of debt, it must feel great. If you have managed to be debt free then you will certainly be determined and focused to get rid of those further pounds. This is a great group and you will be made very welcome and given all the support you need.
    Good luck
