Suggs - I guess I am the biggest culprit for not having acknowledged your loss of 5.6lbs this month as I prepared the chart. I sort of assume that maintainers are going to go up and down a few pounds (plus my eye doesn't always fully check the maintainers section of the chart to see who achieved the monthly challenge). I think if you are trying or happy to continue to lose weight, perhaps you should be on the main part of the chart after all? Just let me know...

I am being ultra sensitive and I KNOW it is me but first ajax with the weak thing and now this...why would you assume that maintainers go up and down a few pounds? We are trying you know, why are we being tarnished with a pre assumed they will gain so don't bother with them?

Hey guys, how are we all?

Today (only cos AJAX asked) im going shopping ha. I really dont like my mask anymore so im going to see if i can find another one, and my mother something to wear on her bottom half apart from a pair of hold you in pants. Then im going to start my dissertation proposal (its only next week, ha, typical vicki leaving it till the last moment!) Then im going to the pub tonight for a friends leaving doo in top spoons! J20 for me i think!

Ive been setting myself targets of 1000 extra steps on my stepper each day. Im due to do 3000 today but i think i might reduce it to 500 ha. So 2,500 for today. Already done 500 :) thought my mum would be back home by now so i might get off her in a min and do another 1000 before she comes back.

Missy: With a holiday i like a real mix, if im going for a beach location i do like to spend a day at the beach doing Sweet FA, but i do like to see where im going, as much as you can in a week anyway! I will do an all inclusive one day, i think this is the tourism person in me, i wanna do everything to get an opinion on it. Think thats why i went to bennidorm! im gunna do my dissertation on benidorm i think, the impacts of mass tourism to the area but i think i gotta narrow that question down a bit.

    Im babbling.

Kittykat: I hope its you anyway! Love the ieda about the dress and putting money towards it. Might have to nick that idea if you dont mind! Hope you get there with it :D

Welcome to all the newbies. I would write this bigger but i think im on quick reply so i cant! But welcome anyway!!

It is just that I have the hump because the way I see it the maintainers have the same rights as the loosers, we are all in together, suggs should have been acknowledged for his weight loss and I apologize for not doing so....

I got a PM from someone on here asking me why I didn't set up my own thread for the maintainers? Why should I? The maintainers are the same as the loosers, we all deserve respect, acknowledgement, support, encouragement and not to be pushed to one side just because we have reached goal and to be told to go elsewhere.....

I come on here to help not to be pushed aside, I come on here to share, hopefully encourage, learn, give mutual support , not to feel that we count for nothing and our struggle is not as important as the loosers and somehow we do not count.
I have never been rude to someone, never belittled them or let them down to my knowledge, well the only person I have upset and not intentionally is petrichor and I apologized for that.

I have given a lot to this thread and taken back a lot also thanks to some wonderful people on here that have stopped me gaining, loosing hope, steered me forward and for that I am eternally grateful but now to be insuniated we are not important and can be picked on is out of order.

Vix, surely havig now kissed the washing machine man, you can fully appreciate just how good the b/f really is ;)

Efrieze, its is not you fault, I was only saying, I felt left out, probably more as I dont know what I need to. As you rightly said as a maintainer, I should be gaining and losing, with the aim of STS, but as we all know I cant do that :) Besides I am not going to moan at someone doing a job I wouldn't do, I am amazed you can still do it. Its hard enough for me just to restart the thread every month (or it feels like it!)

Talking of which as we are slipping along to LW21 queit nicely, Any takers for the Page 1 Girlie or Fella??? :)

Victory, thanks for your support, I certainly dont think I rock in the very least. Feel more like a froud than anything else. Likewise Pet my thanks to you too x

Missy I am sorry I truely forgot you are off chart and doing so well yourself! Well done you and apologies. Thanks for your support. Holidaywise, I guess if you can have a holiday 'paid for' and as long as your son doesnt mind you working, then why not? Arent we meant to be money saving.

BB and Ajax, I guess it shows what playing rugby does to me, for the season, I think from January onwards, the losses really did slow down, Now the end of season is here, I am not getting bashed about so much and I start losing again. Its a hard one to fathom out.

I think at the end of the day I dont know what to do with myself, I am scared sh**less I will fall off the wagon and gain big time, and ruin all the hard work. (like last time) But likewise I look at myself and although sometimes I see the differences and the changes other times I still see a fat person looking back at me, I have even asked MrS to point out people I am now the same size as, when out shopping, as I keep thinking I am bigger. I point to bigger people.

I still want to play rugby, I know I need to reduce body fat and increase muscle mass as that will help with the rugby and my saggy bits! How I go about this I have still to work out. I know when I hit target all those months ago, I decided to lose a little more to allow for muscle building. However I keep been tempted by seeing new targets and allowing myself as a fat bloke to go for them. Currently I am 2 or 3 lb away from weighing less than 100kg! I know stupid to chase the poundage, but sometimes I cant help it!!

Enough moaning, going to stop now.

Back later, have a good day all

Having a bit of a dilemma about summer holiday. I can go away for 2+ weeks and work 4 or 5 days while I'm away and recoup the whole cost of the trip as I've done before - or I can go away and pay for it myself, not work and do as I please :p Decision needs to be made soon due to having to book a certain part of it :)

missyg - I'd def go for paying for it yourself so that you can totally switch off from work and relax - I think you'll feel a lot better for it.

As for a location - where do you have in mind? It's always best to find somethiing to suit your personal interests.

I would personally go insane sitting around a beach for more than one day so I'm going backpacking around most of the capital cities in Europe next summer (2009). I'll be away for 6 weeks! Yippeee! I can't wait! It's partly a reward to myself for (hopefully) having completed my masters course and also a honeymoon.

Roll on summer 2009! :j I hope to be my target weight by then! Plus backpacking should shed a few extra pounds with the amount of clothes I'm bound to take/buy on route! ha ha!

Morning all :) Hope everyone's OK and looking forward to the weekend!

Chachiluz, welcome to the thread, just chime straight in, we'll look forward to hearing from you!

Congrats on your fab 1lb loss Sue! :D

KPC I can't speak for coming off SW obviously but I find the two bowls of cereal and one meal a day a useful standby even now, for the occasional day here and there :) It worked well for me while I was losing too, although somtimes I'd have toast instead of one of the cereals.

What are these HeA's and HeB's? :o I know I could google them but I bet I get a more interesting reply here :p

Hi Wendy, you'll make us all incredibly proud if you stick to that plan for the week! Good luck with it, hope it does the trick for you.

Ajax :rotfl: never thought I'd see such emotion about couscous. Hope the golf results go the right way. Do you ever go to watch in person? Today I'm waiting for my son to wake up (he's been so lazy this week, lol) and then I'll ask him what he fancies doing although his new wii game is due to arrive today so I think I already know the answer

Efrieze, I echo what Ajax has said. I dread to think how long it must take to trawl through every post looking for weigh in data and double checking, by the time the chartmakers have done that you must just want it posted up and done with, never mind anything else.

Victory - I still don't like to see words like torture, harsh, trauma when it comes to an eating plan, surely it doesn't need to be that way... but we shall have to agree to disagree on that one I think :) Also the same about it being assumed that maintainers go up and down as I'm a maintainer and I definitely assume that I will fluctuate - though I know I'm in the minority there.

Some good news folks! Sports bra sorted! :j

Oh hello Vix, fancy you posting at the exact moment I was talking about bras ;) Yes, it's a good plan for your Mum to wear something else as well as the pants :p I'm still trying to decide about my summer trip this year, could do with getting that sorted today. Have a good time out tonight! By the way when do you stop increasing the steps by 1,000 a day because if you carry on that way you'll be doing nothing else!

Suggs - not ignoring your latest post I'll be back in a bit!

Victory, in Efriezes defence, I guess what is meant is that although we are maintainers, I think we all will admit to struggling with the concept of maintaining. I remember a discussion a while ago around upper and lower limits to the target weight. So yes we may gain on the odd occasion (Rugby club dinner or holiday) and then we may lose. I dont think anything was meant by it other than we will, in the act of trying to maintain occasionaly gain or lose a pound or two.

I agree with Victory on this, I find it incredible that someone on this thread sent such a PM, we have all come here for a reason to lose weight and we gain support from people that have been there and got the t shirt, we learn from others experiences[FONT=&quot] and we can use that experience to help our own journeys.

To infer that we have a seperate thread as our journey has 'completed' is mindnumbing, perhaps we should also have threads to thoses losing on cosmetic grounds, or medical grounds, those wanting to lose a few pounds and those wanting to lose alot of pound!!

I suggest we keep to our, and I think the threads main idea, to support and encourage through experiences our journey to improving ourselves by losing weight.

... but couscous is so lovely lol. Funny you should ask about going to golf in person... I'm going to watch a day of the English Open in Oxfordshire in July. What game is arriving today then?

.... you just gotta decide which is more important, and only you know. Is there a realistic rugby position which suits the shape you want for the coming months? I say realistic cos you aint gonna be a full back at your age :)

Wish I had something helpful to say with the muscle mass/ weight thing but it's all way above me. How can say it's silly to chase the poundage? It's a weight loss thread, we're all chasing the poundage :)

Someone needs to be buying vix a new stepper. She's gonna wear that one out :D

For what it's worth I'm also of the opinion that the place for people who want to maintain weight rather than lose is right here on the Weight Loss thread, because in effect it is a Weight Control thread. It would also be nice if a couple of posts didn't escalate - people come here for help and entertainment, not drama, and we don't want anyone getting the wrong idea.

victory - I am sorry if what I wrote bothered you - it was absolutely not meant to. I was speaking from my own experience, when my weight goes up and down so much just in one week when my overall weekly position ends up being a maintain. In general, the maintainers are doing a grand job of either reporting a maintain, or reporting a gain one week and a loss the next to nett a sts overall. If you are aiming to STS every single week, week in week out, without any natural fluctuations, I think that that is unrealistic. However, if you are lucky enough to have found the perfect equillibrium with regard to what you eat and the number on the scales, then well done you. Once again, no offence was meant to the maintainers (including yourself) - I just know that if and when I join you on the maintenance bench - my ups and downs (weight wise) will be very notable as they always are.
