Ajax, thank you for explaining the Core plan to me; I did WW for a while, years ago, and whilst it was relatively easy, I just get fed up with counting things; whether it's points, calories or fat. Best wishes with it; you sound very enthusiastic and i'm sure you'll do very well.

......thanks serenity, but I'm not doing it :D. Never have and almost certainly never will lol.

    Car Insurance Carver!
Thanks Serenity... I aim to get some tomorrow... wonder what they would taste like with vodka?????
I have given myself a massive incentive, I have booked a mega posh do which is a Black Tie event for New Years Eve... a bit early i know but its best to get these things booked early. Anyway I want to buy a really lush dress for the evening but I am not going to get one whilst I am a porker... so I have 3 - 4 dress sizes to drop before New Year..... lets see how I get on. For every 7lbs I lose I am going to put £25 in the pot for my outfit.

I actually know someone who packs a different bikini for every day of a 2 week holiday :rotfl: Sorry Vix, bikinis aren't me and neither is the whole "fake tan" phenomenon :p Hope you get your money's worth on that night out, enjoy :)

I don't do beach holidays, I'm a travelling/walking/hiking/activity/exploring type of gal. I like to keep on the move :) You're all shocked, I know...!

Best of luck with your approach Serenity! That is a completely new one on me and I'll look forward to hearing about it, always good to get lots of different perspectives.

Been out for a 20 min walk this evening. Cals for the day 1163, feel plenty full enough, so have a few extra in hand for tomorrow should I need them :)

Great incentive Kittykat, what a fab idea to put money away for your posh outfit as you go along too!

Edit: Added another 10 mins wii fit jogging this evening too :)

Morning everyone. My walking has paid off. I've lost 6lb since my last docs appointment 2 weeks ago :T .feel really positive now and can't wait for the kids to go back to school so I can get out "proper" walking again.I know I've missed the chart this week but couldn't wait to tell you all.
Hope you have a good day :)

Many congratulations Molly!!!!!! I was so thrilled to see your loss, I've been on tenterhooks all day waiting to see just what your loss was and I'm so pleased you're delighted with it. Onward to next week again now then!

Ajax, I apologise profusely...I must have read something of yours after dellybelly's reply, and accidently attributed it to you....sorry.

BTW...may I ask what you ARE doing to manage your weight? I find it interesting to see all the different people and their various approaches to essentially the same problem...once size does not fit all, when it comes to weight control.

    Chach

    Welcome, chachiluz!

You have come to a great board. I am a newbie too, and the people here are lovely.

I don't think I will give you a shake...maybe a pat on the back for making a great decision and joining this wonderful group, in order to tackle your weight issues.

You are just in time for the June 5lb challenge, if you wish to participate.

Look forward to getting to know you (and everyone else) better.

    Best wishes,

    Serenity

.... :D really no need to apologise, I just didn't want you to think I knew anything about the WW Core Plan, so wanted to be clear. It was me who answered your core plan question to delly though as I know she doesn't always get opportunity to come on here.

I'm doing SW green days after not doing it for a while.... I did it before for over a year but you know how following the same plan for ages gets boring and you start kidding yourself about how closely you're following it? That was me.

    Hi and welcome chachiluz

yowch kittykat! you are being very cheerful about a disaster of that magnitude. Great incentive, but don't put too much pressure on yourself - I've done that before and ending up having a rotten time because I wans't the weight i wanted to be when it rolled around.

    welcome chachi.

has anyone else got any experience of coming off sw? I think there's probably some principles that are good to keep, and some that you need to break the habit of. So eating vast quantities of low fat supernoodles will go, but what should stay? I was thinking . . .

keep using bovril as a substitute for stock
if having cheese use the HEA portion size

are there any others do you think? I've gone back to the cereal thing for a bit - 2 bowls of cereal a day and 1 meal. That used to work out quite well for me actually.
