hiya pet! nice to see all those smilies!

v proud of self right now. It feels good to have the shield of justice on my arm as oh puts it. And i managed to stand up for myself without blubbing which is a big achieve for me. Missy, i do want t leave the job and take my own business full time, but money wise it just isn't an option right now. one day . . . .

    thanks for your support peeps!

Suggs, sorry you felt left out :( It's hard to keep up with everyone who deserves congratulations, I don't think I've missed many of your losses but sorry if I've missed the important ones x

Even though I'm not on the chart I tried my absolute hardest to get 5lb off in May but failed! I still feel supported on here though so we obviously need to do better to make sure you do too :) Keep letting us know your thoughts about your future WL/maintain.

Good to see ya Pet, great news on the tennis, you must be lapping it up! I like it when they throw strops :o:p I like that in any sport actually :rotfl:

KPC good luck with growing the business, hope it all happens for you :)

I've been on the wii fit this evening for 30 mins doing muscle exercises, plus 15 mins of cross trainers and a walk earlier. I feel like I want to do more, but my cals are low today and I'm being more careful about doing too much exercise on low cal days - if that makes sense.

Having a bit of a dilemma about summer holiday. I can go away for 2+ weeks and work 4 or 5 days while I'm away and recoup the whole cost of the trip as I've done before - or I can go away and pay for it myself, not work and do as I please :p Decision needs to be made soon due to having to book a certain part of it :)

suggs not sure how I missed it or why but if your loss of 5.6lb is recently don't know how that happened but now I know and have seen it I would like to apologize for not recognising it before or seeing it and suggs you rock:j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

petrichor being holiday time soon makes the gain a million times worse:rolleyes: damn bikinis who invented such a thing?:rotfl: :rotfl:

It is just temporary, will come off, 4 hours walking today is a good start, trampolining tomorrow, more walking, more 0 points foods should do the trick, has before;)

I haven't owned a bikini in about 15 years - I'm too pale and pasty to get that much of me out in the sun :p It's not a pretty sight!

On the rare occasion I'm on the beach I just wear my normal swimsuit, but otherwise one of those with the vest and little shorts might be OK (is it a tankini?) and copious amounts of SPF1,000 :rotfl:

I can tell this gain will be all gone by next week - don't know why you worry so Victory, when you are so quick and efficient at losing

No, I own a tankini and it's a camisole top and more brief shaped bottoms. You'd never find me sunning on a beach though - torture:rotfl: (Or hanging around in a cossie - purely for swimming only). I'm a sit in the shade kinda gal. I love wearing shorts/ bear feet though, which reminds me I must get some: too few summer clothes at the mo.
Well done kpc re the not crying - I know what a pain in the neck that is - there are certain situations where these tears just appear for me and it's so embarrassing so I appreciate the importance of this 'achievement'.

Victory, I've only just got on here today and saw your frustration at your 4lb gain - glad to see you've now got back to your usual positive self - fingers crossed it comes off as quick as it went on.

this is a link to the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall/river cottage website that shows what fruit and veg is seasonal when. I've shopped at supermarkets for so long I am incredibly ignorant as to what is seasonal as everything is available all the time. I'm tring to eat more local produce and be aware of when certain things should drop in price - thought it might be of interest to somebody id anyone one else is in the same boat.

(Shame facedly changes name...sorry Ajax...) dellybelly , thank you for explaining the Core plan to me; I did WW for a while, years ago, and whilst it was relatively easy, I just get fed up with counting things; whether it's points, calories or fat. Best wishes with it; you sound very enthusiastic and i'm sure you'll do very well.

Welcome to all the newcomers, and I am pleased to see Victory is feeling a little more positive. I am sorry you had to go through such a hard time. I know how disheartening such a gain has on your self confidence; but as others have said, you obviously are more than capable of getting rid of it; you have come a long way. Keep up the good work.

I told you all in my original post that I was just focusing on moderation; but since then, I have devised a little plan which is based on the alkalizing diet. I am still going to eat anything I like, but try to eat 1/4 acidic foods : 3/4 alkalizing foods. This sounds far more complex than it is. I will be curious to see how successful my version is; and will be sure to let you all know how it goes. This first week is going to be interesting...hehehe.

I have prepared a nibbly container, which has three cashews, three almonds, 12 cadbury choc chips and about 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of pinenuts. I am going to make up a fruit salad later, so if I feel peckish, I can have some.

I had breakfast at 4 am (just over an hour and a half ago...) I had three grapes and then 3tbs of Uncle toby's Museli Plus served with 3 tbs of Yoplait Vanilla yoghurt.

Lunch is going to be a thick slice of Fruit Loaf, toasted and spread lightly with jam or lemon spread, then topped with strawberries and banana and then drizzled with some yoghurt. This is a carry over from my WW days...I love it. (My daughter doesn't like fruit loaf, so I use Nanna's waffles for her, instead. This is also great if you only want a very light snack. You could also swap the yoghurt for a spoonful of icecream.)

I don't know what I am making for dinner yet...will let you know.

    Take care

    KittyKat,
Oh my gosh...I shouldn't laugh, but that was so funny. I too have a smoothie maker, and had a near disaster, a while back. I hope you get some banana's soon...I'd give you one, if I could...distance is a bit of a bother though...lol.
I make a concoction based on a drink I used to get at a little eatery, years ago. Blend a banana with some vanilla icecream (chose one that fits in with your diet plan...ie. low fat, low carb, low cal..whatever) and some milk; drizzle in some honey (I use about a tbsp...but you can add a little, taste, then add more if required...it should be very subtle); blend and then pour into glass and sprinkle with a little nutmeg......mmmmm.

    Better luck next time.
