morning peeps! Hada very exciting evening last night - had borrowed my dad's gardening tools and attacked the hedges with the chainsaw. ALso the woodpile that oh has been hoarding for 6 months got chainsawed too which was very satisfying. fel all 'little house on the prairie', laying in the fuel stores. Welcome to our new bod whose name i shamefully have forgotten - how exciting to be getting wed! I don't think your target is unachievable. I weigh in kilos too, i'm just used to it that way - hence i can't complete the poll as I don't know what my target is in lbs.

Wendy, you are right I am in Lincoln this weekend. At this stage I'm not sure whereabouts i'll be sited but it's either the castle or the bishops palace. There will be lots of smaller camps grouped together - ask for Company of PAlm Sunday 1461, I'm in pale grey.

Ajax must be really working hard with his wii fit, there's ever such a lot of panting noises down there.

slow but steady this week with another 1lb loss

just 2lbs away from being under 100kg. or should that be just 1kilo away from being 15st 10

be careful out there - never know when a choccie biscuit might be planning to trip you up
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Ughhhhhh.... poorly head....... poorly throat. Too much celebrating.......

Only have two things to say this morning -

"Tony Mowbray's blue and white army"

    and

"We are Premier League, we are Premier League"

I'll let you all get on with your day now
  • well done to WBA Ajax x Hope you enjoyed your celebrating.

Starlight and Nise - I also meant to add how wonderful you both look, congratulations.

I am resting today, as I have to go back to work tomorrow (I think!) Does anyone know anything about sick notes. I was given one from my doctor last Wednesday 23rd and signed off for 1 week. I went back to work yesterday, cos I thought I was better (I am much - but wasn't enough!) and came home at dinnertime after the Head told me off because she said if I had a sicknote I shouldn't be in yet. She said to come back Wednesday. Would this be right or should it be Thursday as it was signed on Wed last week. Sorry for going on but I really don't know. I've never been off sick before but I am getting better and my appetite is returning (Oh no, help!)
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.

The spreadsheet I put together works very much like yours, but I had been working on 3500 cals = 1lb, rather than 500 cals = 1lb - I'm not sure why I thought it was 3500cals/lb  . That would explain my 1.2lb gain if you put me between sedentary and lightly active.

FFM, you're right it is 3500 cals = 1lb but those on the chart are daily calorie needs to achieve 1lb loss in a week so it's 3500/7 = 500/day (is that where you got the 500 from?). As I understand it, we are creating a 3500 calorie 'deficit' across 7 days for a 1lb loss, 5250 for 1.5lb and so on.

With your figures I put you at just under a STS for lightly active. I don't work it out to tenths of a lb, if it falls between say the 1.5lb and 2lb I'll call it 1.75lb approx.

    Hope that helps? :)

    Morning all

Raph - well you don't need the sermon, you know why that happened at the gym! Thank goodness you decided to skip the swimming, that was very sensible. Glad you're OK. I'm surprised Bails hasn't had her teachers hat on with you ;) (Hi Bails I know you're resting!).

Marion :j That is a brilliant loss, congrats!

Hey Mollymop, I'm not the best person to critique a meal plan, but hopefully some others will be along to help. I try to use the 'eatwell' guidelines for myself and my son, and that applies to me whether I'm on a diet or not :)

Mark well done on your loss, we'll look forward to celebrating the sub 100kg day with you soon!

MORNING AJAXXXXX oops sorry did you say you had a bad head ;)

Ugh, the weather. My booking got cancelled so I have an unexpected day off, not that I mind :p I'm going to give my son's savings the MSE review :p

I am doubling my food budget for May and having a major stock up on offers and items that are expected to keep rising in price (good strategy, or not?). I'm also getting some extra treats as it's my birthday month but these need to be locked away until I've made that target... haha.
