Bails, I've ordered silly amounts of pasta, rice, cereals because we get through a lot of this and it keeps for ages :). Other than that I haven't been too selective about which products, just increased quantities on the ones that will keep (and my special offers... but that's normal...;))

I've saved my shopping basket at about 1.75x budget at the moment but I'll go back in later and add some more until it's 2x. Pasta is the one I've really noticed skyrocketing... if you have any tips let me know!

p.s. 5p listing day on ebay Thursday :)

ARRGHHHHHHHH! My me day has gone out of the window courtesy of The Benefits [STRIKE]Shambles[/STRIKE] System. It didn't arrive yesterday as normal so 6 phonecalls all around the country later, including some 0845 I couldn't get an alternative for  and I find out that they have my address wrong - someone typed in 7 instead of 73 - so my benefit has been cancelled!:mad::mad: And of course, not one person even apologised, no chance of any collective responsibility there. I am grateful that we even have a benefits system in this country but **** me, I can't WAIT to get out of the hellhole it consists of!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Morning everyone.I dropped my at school this morning and joined my friend on a 3 mile walk (approx).I feel really good.
Had orange juice and cornflakes with milk (small bowl) for breakfast.

I'm off to docs in a mo for blood tests so might ask the nurse if I can jump on their scales  .To see if they're the same as mine.going to ask for BP to be checked also.

Pasta with tomato based sauce for lunch then need to check fridge to decide on tea.May have sweet and sour quorn with rice.

Hope everyone's having a good day.I may post my weight later just to give myself a visual kick. Then again may not :o

    Morning All

Been pottering around the house keeping my eyes on the housework and off the biccies! Went swimming last night with my sis, under the instruction of the gorgeous Luis (portugese David Tennant). Turns out one of my friends had joined the class and didn't know I was doing the course. Much fun will be had! Did 35 mins on the crosstrainer too.

Off in a bit to teach my art class (I run a school club on Tues lunchtimes with my sis). More fun! Hope it doesn't rain otherwise it has to be called off as we use one of the classrooms.

    Will check in later!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

HaHa - I found you! Thought you guys could hide but using my superior skills of deduction I managed to track you down! Teehee - last time we changed it took me 2 days to realise what had happened :o:o .

Nise - you look gorgeous. I hope I look as good as you do one day. Wouldn't mind being on that balcony either! Not too sure about being under the desk with Ajax but I will do my best when my turn comes!!:D

Happy to report a very nice 2.5 pound weight loss this week. I have been having problems with my knee which stopped me walking for quite a while but it seems to be better this week and so I have been having quite a few walkies with Charlie.

Good luck to everyone this week

    Love
    Marion

Yay!! well done on the 2.5 pounds less of you!

Mutter, mutter - hate the benefit system (even if it does pay me money as well!), I hate it because I am long term disabled and have to pay for prescriptions etc! - Have they sorted it out now? are you getting the money? and will it be back dated to when they fudged it up?

Thanks Dragon, it's rubbish we're both in it but good to know we're in it together! I have exactly the same problem with prescriptions. Pleased to say they have hopefully now sorted it (still no apologies - one would go a long way with me) and money should be with me today or tomorrow. Good job I'm good with my money or I'd be stuffed!
Well done MollyMop on the great start!

The government admitting they have done something wrong - like that is going to happen :rotfl:.

I have just written a letter to MP complaining about the fact that as one that has to have prescriptions (which have gone up AGAIN! £7.10 now - humph) and being basically on the poverty line (but not able to get income support because DrDragon is in paid employment) - having to pay such a large chunk out of the money I get on a single prescription is something I can no longer afford and therefore I can no longer get the medication that helps with my pain (or indeed the one that can save my life!!!)

I hope this makes sense the pain means that I know what I mean but it doesn't always come across :p - mind you being off the medication should mean that I can lose weight

Yeah, I get you. It is so unbelievably frustrating isn't it? I can't even get my dr to agree to give me the meds I need, so I have to go private  Don't want to hog the WL thread but any time you want a rant by PM, I'm your girl :D
