Ajax, it's on five :D Thank goodness, because if it was just a freebie weekend on NASN then that would be cruel to be able to watch Game 1 and not the rest of the series :rotfl:

Bails, hugs about the money thing, hope it's nothing serious? Have you been going through your finances today or something?

Hiya BB, lol about the tenner ;) I hope your evening is better than the day and that the wildebeest are long gone before tonight.

So it's scores on the doors time again. This week I have averaged 1400 cals/day (I made it exact by weighing out a final few chocolates after my last food this evening :rotfl: ) I think I can class the week as moderately active still, and this is the pace for a 1lb loss. Ha. Ha. Not gonna happen! At the moment it looks like it could go a teeny bit either way, or a STS (which I have never had).

This is the third week running I have been on pace for a 1lb loss and I think I really deserve to see SOMETHING for my efforts after seeing only 0.25lb off and then on again :(

Now my son wants me to make rice krispie cakes, but I have finished eating for the week - torture! :D :rotfl:

Delly – I’m struggling to last more than 2 days at a time on plan at the mo too. The 2 days go really well (and I eat plenty), and on the third day I have overwhelming cravings, today satisfied by a pkt of bourbon biscuits. Having eaten them, I know I’ll be fine for the next couple of days, so just going with that flow at the mo, which of course is easier for me at this end of the weight loss campaign than yours I know. But just wanted to let you know I know the feeling of not being able to stick at something for a whole week.

Bad Brighton Belle!! Did they taste good?

Cookinmummy, cooking from scratch for the whole family sounds a great way to do this; after all, it needs to be something that is sustainable long term. Low GI/GL is a good place to start - if I remember correctly FFM used RC and catered for the whole family, guess any GI/GL cookbook would work too? (I use Patrick Holford's Low GL cookbook). As for the running, what about going in the morning before work, or does that sound even worse? :D I used to find sport first thing in the morning was a fab start to the day (could you incorporate some into your commute/school run etc?)

    Cookinmummy

I did the Rosemary Conley low gi diet (yes, the one that Coleen Nolan did) and fed the family the same meals. The difference for Mr Monkey and the little monkeys was things like grated cheese on top of spag bol, butter on bread, etc as they did not need to cut out the fat. Also, puddings/desserts were full fat versions eg cream on fresh fruit or full fat ice cream - whereas I would have greek 0% yoghurt, or low fat ice cream/frozen dessert. They also had roast potatoes cooked traditionally whereas I would have dry roast or jacket potatoes (no butter).

    FFM :)

brighton belle - thanks so much for sharing this with me. I do feel better now. I'm sure your cravings are as much to do with your illness as anything else - would I be right? It's good that you can stick to it for 2-3 days at a time though, keeps you on a level maybe?

What made things worse for me was, I willingly went back to weightwatchers with the full intentions of giving it 100% - to be honest, the points plan is hardly difficult to follow after all. I sailed through day 1, but day 2 just plain got off to a bad start because I let some old habits creep in (mainly a scone for elevenses) and it all went downhill from there. Halfway through the week I was even contemplating cutting my losses and joining SW this week for something to have to plan and think about

. it was just second guessing myself. I suppose. I also knew I'd have this big night out last night and was probably subconsciously thinking - s*d it, I'm going to be bad on Saturday anyway and ususally a hung over Sunday makes it impossible to pull things back.

Anyway, since I need to break old habits and can't seem to be trusted with the points plan at the minute - one whiff of sugar and I'm off. I've decided to go with the core plan - simply because it's stricter and requires planning. So no takeaways or nonsense for me this week. I've already invested a shocking £4  on a box of cherries to nibble on and I'll be planning my lunches and dinners for the next week tomorrow morning after class and getting a little jaunt to MR T's to buy in the necessary.I just can't wait to get my official WI over and done with now so I can get moving.

I just wanted to say again, thanks for replying - it's really helped.

Well I am sure that is something then - doesn't quite make it good but it does make it worthwhile :rotfl:
