    Afternoon all :)

Welcome Kittycat, Cookinmummy and Serenity :D

The weekend is going well here, apart from the awful weather! Took my son's dog out for a long walk yesterday and really enjoyed it, but dogsitting has re-focussed my mind - I don't want a dog full time, I'll just keep borrowing other people's, they can have all the mess and I'll just do the bit I like doing! My son's dog is a 6 month old springer spaniel, and he's on the go all the time, and has so much energy he wears me out watching him.

My daughter and granddaughter are staying for the weekend and my son and his girlfriend will be joining us for a big roast dinner later, followed by a very healthy berry medley with meringues and cream for those who want it (I'll resist.. I WILL resist!).

BB - you're so wise and always manage to put things in perspective! I agree with your point about confidence too, the weight issue for me has become much more about how I feel about myself, and nothing at all to do with what anyone else thinks, whereas at 21 I was completely obsessed with the idea that everyone judged me because I was overweight. (And I wasn't as overweight then as I am now.)

Vix - I've always been pear shaped too, and although it makes it harder to buy clothes, it's actually been proven to be healthier than being apple shaped.

Victory - go for the bikini and a cover up, and I bet the cover up will stay in your beach bag! There are so many different styles of bikini, it's a matter of choosing one you feel comfortable in, that flatters you, and there's plenty of advice around to help you choose, such as this.

Pet - I wondered if it was just this thread where the 'View first unread' link doesn't work, but I just tested it on another and it didn't work either.

Regarding other things that we may not be aware of, does anyone use the Buddy list?

Ajax - your meal sounds great, but I wouldn't like to hazard how many points/syns/calories it contained. We all need a day off now and then so don't beat yourself up about it or you'll spoil your enjoyment of it. (2 bottles of wine..? :naughty:;) )

    Enjoy the bank holiday. :j

    Hi Folks,

Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday weekend. Welcome serenity, kitty & cookinmummy. . Please stick with us as you'll find that you're more successful with support in any form than going alone.

ajax - glad you had a good night out and are starting afresh today. As Lois says, it's best if you forget about your blow out, enjoy it for what it was and move on... I should know, I was out for a meal with my OH last night and then went on for quite a few drinks with friend:D . Completely blew out my first week on Kick Start with WW:o . Ah well, the embarrassing first WI tomorrow morning - hopefully I won't have gained. I could wear different shoes to make sure that it's not a gain... what do you think?.

Anyway, I've decided to give the core plan a go to try and break my teatime habits at work and we're finally moving offices this Friday so it will be a completely fresh start for me from 2nd June, new location, new boss but similar tasks, and new people to get to know, a perfect opportunity to make some other changes...

    Day one again tomorrow.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

purplecatlover - do you want to declare your gain so that the chart is correct? If not, that's fine.

it was a 3lb gain, but i figure ill just take that, then take off (or add) whatever from tuesdays weigh in so the chart will still be right overall. today ive lost 1lb of that which still leaves a 2lb gain so far for this week :(

...........I won't tell you the score then missy :D

Haha, I'd already watched the game by the time I'd posted that, wouldn't risk going on the computer, switching on the phone, or anything like that before I'd watched! Really super hockey from the Red Wings. Hope the Pens actually show up next time!!! :rotfl:

Monaco was fab too, what a great day's sporting viewing *sigh* :D
