I didnt go out tonight, really didnt feel like going at all. Boring vicki right here!

Victory: i vote for the bikini, there will be people there 10x worse than you could ever imagine, and everyone on the beach is so concerned with what they look like they dont notice anyone else.
If all else fails, get your husband to go bottomless, then all eyes will be on him! (or perhaps you, wondering why youre with a man who does such a thing ha)

Welcome to the new aussie person. I met an aussie today, you didnt hop over to kent by any chance today? :p good luck with the weight loss, sorry i cant remember your name (told ya i need the quotes!

anyway im off cos im soo tired. After BB's post i think i need to cuddle matty!

    Hello everyone...

Total newbie to this diet forum!

Well I need to lose 84lbs (sounds better than saying it in stone... i don't know why)! anyway I have managed to put on 2 stone each year over the last 3 years OMG

I have dieted on and off for years and can't believe that I have let myself get the way I have. I gave up smoking 3 years ago and changed my job from an active one to a sedentry one which has contributed me getting me to the way I am today!

So have come here for help and support and inspiration and ideas!

So please be gentle with me and I look forward to getting to know you all.

    Love Kittyx

Life is sometimes a bit pants but occasionally you can wear your french knickers! :D

    A warm welcome Kitty.

I'm reasonably new myself, but it's a great place to be if you want spurring along.

Like you, I too piled it on when I gave up smoking 9 years ago, but I'm determined to get back and the first thing I need to do is more exercise, especially walking. Molly (Mollymop5) on here has been doing 5 & 6 mile walks almost daily this week, I think we need to do the same....along with cutting down on the wrong things we eat.

No one will be anything but gentle with you here, they're a great bunch. I'll leave this now for others who have been here longest to chat and help you tomorrow. Look forward to chatting again....and seeing our weight drop off!:D

Welcome kitty, serenity and anyone else I may have missed.

Vix, listen to the people for they talk sense. :D

Victory, do the bikini thing, I bet you look great. You want to do it, you've never been more 'equipped' to do it, so do it :)

The first of the two hurdles before my July 4th target has now been jumped. Hmm, jumped isn't the right word, I should say I careered into it. Went to favourite Italian restaurant and had:

    garlic bread starter (v oily)
a vegetarian tortellini in a creamy white sauce
    chocolate fudge cake
    2 bottles of wine :o

.... am feeling very contrite now, but I won't beat myself up over it because it was always on the schedule. It's not as if it's unplanned naughtiness, is it, so it's ok. Please? :D

Am really looking forward to trying to make amends now over the next three days.

Welcome kitty :j to our lovely group, you will find loads of inspiration here. just join in and chat away, there is usually someone about with an answer or just kind words as necessary...

...Well it's 2 weeks of tennis for me :j :j Roland Garros has started, so as you can see Alphonse has taken a well deserved break and Rafa has taken his place. Hopefully he'll continue on from the superb performance that he put in last Sunday in kicking the !!!!! of the git :D Federer at the Hamburg Masters Final :j . Murray is on later today, so I'll put in some support his way, should be an easy job for him but with Murray  who knows  ...

...Ajax Sounds as if you enjoyed the meal so don't fret (not that you are) any gain will only be temporary and that's a promise ;) ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Right, I'm new to this thread and am DETERMINED (:rotfl:) to lose weight!

I'm hoping that with you guys and the weekly weigh in - I will have the motivation to shift it!

I'm not sure what info you need for the weigh in, but i currently weigh 128lbs, and would like to lose 14lbs. I am still carrying the weight I gained after my 2nd dd and now that she is about to turn one, I have just about finished the breastfeeding and feel that now I should try and shed the weight. If I'm cracking down on the finances - I should crackdown on the weight!

So - what do I do now? Tell you my weigh in once a week?
Looking forward to getting to know you all.:D

Welcome Kittykat and Cookinmummy! You'll love it here I promise :D

You don't need to tell us anything you don't want to. The weekly chart is posted on a Wednesday evening, currently by the lovely Efrieze - you can weigh on whatever day is best for you and post your results then in big, bold and colourful font and she will publish them in the chart. There is also a 5lb monthly challenge - does exactly what is says on the tin! - to aim for each month.

So come on in and let us know how you plan to get started; feel free to ask any questions you like (there is no silly question) and someone will no doubt have the answer. Look forward to getting to know you!
