It sounds as though you're doing all the right things Molly, which certainly includes plenty of exercise, trouble is as always the housework is always there staring us in the face...I'm sure that darned dust has started winking at me!:D I'll wipe the smile of it tomorrow!!

Keep up that good work Molly and well done!

Sue. STS for me today I'm afraid

Thanks Sue, I did get the housework done. What I found amazing thought was how tired I was around 3.30pm.I think it's because i hadn't done much. The exercise is very rejuvenating and I kind of miss it when I'm not doing it.
I have about 6 stone to loose so know I'm in for the long haul. This week is going to be hard to find walking time though as my firend and I both have small children who would find 6 miles to far ( they're too big for pushchairs too) I think i'm just going to have to get on my exercise bike. Will have to buy a gel cover for the seat first though lol

Well done on staying the same this week :)

welcome to all the newbies.I'm just a recent joiner and I'm finding this group very welcoming and helpful.

Yes, and it used to work but it doesn't anymore! I always click on the name of the thread, which opens the first page, and just to the top left of your opening post, above your user name it says 'view first unread'. It's a link and clicking on it used to take me to the last page I'd been on.

:rotfl: me too pet! What other tricks do you think we're still oblivious of? Morning all. OH and I have started making our own museli up. I tend not to like ready bought varieties - too sweet and I don't like raisons added to food. So we're mixing proportions of rolled oats, wheat bran, linseed (omega 3 source) chopped dried prunes and chopped hazelnuts. We then add fresh chopped banaa and blueberries. I have mine without milk, but with a lge dollop of fat free fromage frais (which is sw free and so saves my milk allowance for other things) and is great.
Like your ideas for quark kpc -have written them down. Thanks lois for the avatar explanation: nature can be truely amazing.
Ajax, the babe in the bikin was the photo bails put up of her self last autumn that triggered a number of us to follow suit (fully clothes however:D ) And she definitely look sexy and curvey and yummy and I'm straight:D .
serenity - big welcomes. Keep posting - your new thoughts on weight loss sound excellent. A number of us here have difficulty in exercising so you're in good company. But what bad luck to do both ankles!!
Vix -on the other hand, I have found as I have got older that I do care less about what others think in general, so am much more confident than I was at 21. But I still want to look my best. But you seem far more open and life embracing than I was at your age which is a great start. I think it is possible to become less affected by sociatal pressure to look a certain way as you get older and be more confident about your individual style and personality, but being too over weight would still trouble you probably as others here have testified, andit did me. The horrendous and offensive hoohar by some of the media about princess beatrice in a bikini is a case in point - she is a size 10 and eats healthily yet is very curvy and has 'shock horror' hips, being a woman. The press have torn her to shreds but her body shape isn't going to change (short of an eating disorder). Thats the sort of pressure you younger girls in particular are under and it is sooo wrong:mad: . I know your hips and legs are what trouble you most. I wouldn't be suprised if in 10-15 yrs time you look back at photos and think to your self, actually I look fine, what was I worried about. But that is not to belittle what you feel now in any way. And never forget - Matt really fancies you:D .
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Afternoon everyone

I think I have missed saying welcome to the new peeps in the last couple of days, sorry about that and WELCOME! :D Please keep posting so we can get to know you, and good luck :D

Some nice losses here too, well done team! :T

I had a very lazy day yesterday, and I was supposed to be doing the same all weekend but I'm gagging to get out and do something. Just walked 1 mile round trip to the Post Office which didn't hit the spot at all! :rotfl: Son has some friends over at the moment so I'm confined to the house, but hopefully they'll polish off the last of the crisps & biscuits for me :rotfl:

I've looked up "Go Ape" and there is one quite close to me which is FAB! Unfortunately my son doesn't quite meet the minimum age and height requirements yet but he might JUST make it before the end of the summer! Otherwise it will be one for next year definitely!

Bails certainly did look lush in her bikini and also BB there is no way I would have described you as "this middle aged lady" from your pic, you definitely look younger than your age.

Now, time to prepare a nice lunch of no more than 315 cals... need protein and wholegrain... looks like chicken sarnies then ;)

    Afternoon peeps
Is the weigh in day Monday or Wednesday?
Also -- I am sort of following the Low Gi plan - which I find very filling. I make a tub of salad twice a week which I use daily with a variety of things like chicken, salmon, cottage cheese etc for both lunch and dinner, I have either oat crackers of ryvita with it and eat natural LF yog and fruit between meals. I find if it is ready I will be OK it's when I have to think about what I am going to eat that I go off the boil. I make the salad with usual salad bits but I also add chick peas and a variety of other beans like Kidney, borlotti etc - my question is do I cook them from the tin before I put them in my salad box? I have not been doing this and I have been fine but I am worried I might be poisoning myself!!!! I also have porrige made with water for breakfast. Is anyone else foloowing this type of plan? If so am I doing OK?
    Thanks

Hi Annie, you can weigh any day that suits you, but the results chart is posted up on Wednesdays. When you post up your spectacular loss (or teeny tiny gain) it helps to put it in big font and a different colour as the person doing the chart needs to be able to spot it easily :D Hope that helps!

Hopefully someone will be along shortly who can help with the food advice part!
