When that happens at my local pool, everyone still swims (three quarter) lengthsand you have to turn around out of your depth with no side to hold onto - widths is so much more sensible! Glad you're feeling better

bails excellent post:D
suggs no the M&s sale was really not worth it, as the whole food added up to £10 anyway it was the wine you got for free or freeish and we don't drink so put it all back and never took it:rolleyes: I did have in my hand lemon cheesecake and paella but left it:D well done 0.8lb is nothing good on ya':j :j
missyg you ask me whether a gain is such a bad thing, you ask me;)
Anyway peeps two mini twixes have passed my lips and let's say no more;)0 -
Lemon cheesecake mmmmmmm!
Oh wait, it's not JUST lemon cheesecake if it's from M&S
Say no more re: asking about the gain... don't know what I was thinking!
Latest sports bra score: 1 maybe, 3 returns, 1 keeping because it'll do not for a sports bra but a "comfy at home bra". I've also been onto Snow+Rock website and ordered tech t-shirts from their sale, there are lots of other bargains if anyone's into Snow+Rock type stuff!0 -
A vanilla cheesecake could be my downfall for my weigh in tomorrow. Someone at work had a birthday and brought in lots of cakes. They insisted I have another piece ('cos I look like I need feeding up :rotfl: ). The 2nd piece was so large I cut it into 2, so effectively I had 3 pieces - approx 900 cals in total  . But very yummy

It looks like I have a hernia just above my stomach. I think I've had this since I was pregnant, but at the time just thought it was something to do with the pregnancy (our bodies obviously change at a lot at that time!) Anyway, as I've got slimmer I've noticed it more and more, and I got it checked out today. It will need a formal diagnosis at hospital but the Doctor was pretty sure that's what it is.
If it is that, I'll need an op to sort it out, hopefully all straightforward and routine enoughBut something tells me this is not the time to start playing around with 17kg of weights :rotfl:
I'll let you folks know when I've had my appointment & confirmed diagnosis. In the meantime please no well wishes etc because I'd rather just forget about it and concentrate on what we normally talk aboutIf that's OK
I thought it was worth posting though because we never know who might be reading this and realise they need to get something checked outAlso, I'd have to tell you lot eventually anyway if I'm having an op, because I'll probably be off the exercise for a month and you might notice
Best thing about it was being called "slim and athletic" by the DoctorThat is the first time I've been called athletic in my life and just about the biggest compliment anyone could ever give me
:rotfl:
Right, time to try on those sports bras! Wish me luck...
Ooh well done on being called slim and athletic! I'm sorry for the reason you were at the Docs though - never a good one, here's hoping it is easily solved!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Oh gosh, vanilla is my OTHER favourite flavour of cheesecake! *Salivates*
Why can't cheesecake be zero calories, and celery 900
My son isn't letting me on the Wii to take my body test. Hmph. He's got 10 minutes before I exert my authority!0 -

this is me not out for dinner. started feeling nauseous and pukey so came home from work and slept for an hour. feeling better now and could possibly still go out, but oh is being v cautious and doens't me to be poorly and has suggested a night with indy on the sofa in prep to going seeing crystal skull on wed. i suppose that will do . . . .
I GOT MY WELLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
missyg - so, you get called 'slim & athletic' and at my last encounter with dr's I get called 'this middle aged lady' - is there no justice:rotfl: .(Admittedly 'my' dr was barely out of short trousers).
Missyg - sw have a number of cheese cake recipies made with quark that must be fairly low cal. Never tried one though so they might be a poor substitute for the real thing. Have you tried making one kpc? (And are you wearing your wellies while watching indie.) Hope you feel well for the weekend re-enactmentI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
