Thanks LL and vix for your kind appreciation. Not the best of days health wise and it you perked me up no end. Feel like a herd of wildebeest must have stampeded over me at some point last night and it’s taken all day to get going.
And thanks missyg and bails for so lovingly assisting me in age denial:D . I knew that would be a tenner well spent. I think it’s the image the term ‘middle age’ inspires is what makes me wince a little ( as well as laugh at myself)where as in fact this has definitely been my happiest decade to date. I'm sticking to middle age is a state of mind.My 80yr old mum has always maintained she’s still about 30 inside and I know exactly what she means.
And thanks ‘headmistress’ granny for a good laugh as always. I'm sure dr's must have a secret code now we have the right to see our notes. I was a little suspicious at the pleasant way I was described in a letter by the rheumatologist I saw in Jan, when the actual consultation had been ghastly.
Delly – I’m struggling to last more than 2 days at a time on plan at the mo too. The 2 days go really well (and I eat plenty), and on the third day I have overwhelming cravings, today satisfied by a pkt of bourbon biscuits. Having eaten them, I know I’ll be fine for the next couple of days, so just going with that flow at the mo, which of course is easier for me at this end of the weight loss campaign than yours I know. But just wanted to let you know I know the feeling of not being able to stick at something for a whole week.
Welcome kittykat and cookinmummy to our lovely forum. Many can testify to being their most successful ever, with weight loss and keeping it off, by regularly sticking with us so join in as much as you can.
Trying to build up to do one useful thing today, so it’s not a complete write off.

Well just done my final bit of exercise for the week - the ironing!
Krispie cakes managed not to attack me which is a bonus
Can't believe how much my son eats but he's still quite a bit lower than average weight!
I feel tired/drained this evening which isn't like me at all, so I'm going to get an early night.
FFM/Cookinmummy - I was going to say similar about my cooking - my son gets all the extras and trimmings, but we eat basically the same meals. In fact in terms of meals I'm not eating massively differently to the way I always haveIt's the between-meal habits that have changed for me
Hi Beanie, how are things with you? Hope you've had a good weekend. Which region of France are you going to?0 -

The main reason I went to the Drs yesterday was because of tiredness/exhaustion, I will be having a blood test to check out all sorts.
Although I'm not much of an exerciser (esp compared to you - but then who is :rotfl: ), I went to the supermarket today by cycle - OH fitted my panniers on and I took DD's rucksack - it limited my shopping - good for GC, and doubled up as a 'work out'.
I'm really getting into the cycling at weekends for trips where I would previously have taken the car, great for keeping those ever rising fuel costs down too.
Also means I am worrying less about the little extras I now eat - but I am still keeping a close eye on them.

What are panniers?
Are they the thing that hold your trousers in?

Hi beanielou
Panniers are bags that fit to a cycle rack on the back of your cycle. Depending on the design/size you can pack loads in them.
Does make the stability of the bike a bit iffy if you overload them though, and hills - well :rotfl: Boy oh boy did I have to work hard to get me and my shopping home - it's all uphill.

i was just gunna say ive missed the ajax pics, i remember the first one but i dont think ive seen the second one.
I see you have fiddled with photoshop to give yourself more of a tan in pic 2
you look good in pic 2, more hunky looking. If you were wearing a suit for example, then you would have got a phroar, but that rank looking top you got on ajax!! cooor. Lets hope your wife has got you the same gift for your 1st wedding anniversary and you can buy yourself the home and away shirts of arsenal!!What an improvement that would be on your before and after!

OK I've decided to bite the bullet and put up a couple of photos of me!
The first one was taken just a week after I started the diet and the second was taken last night after 8 months and just over 4 stone lost. It was also the first time I had worn a dress or skirt to any family occasion for about 8 years.
I have got some others but haven't had the chance to play with the sizing yet!Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0
