Ajax, no not staying up tonight, I'll record it and watch 'as live' first thing tomorrow. I actually quite like that method as I can fast forward through the intermissions and dull studio talk . Once it gets to the deciding games then I might stay up :D Hope someone's given Sid & Co a good tongue lashing since Saturday night ;)

Delly thank you and congratulations on your fantastic 2lb off! See, you hadn't done as much damage as you thought you had!!! :D Let us know how it goes on core plan (even though I'm not sure what that is :o)

Annie congrats too for your 1lb off, what a good day we're having for weigh ins so far!!! :j

Thanks Missy, you don't frustrate me, I just worry sometimes - I completely agree about adjusting things slowly and experimenting until you find a balance; you come across as very sensible most of the time, so I will try to worry less :D I just want you to be happy chick!

Well done to everyone with their losses so far, great stuff! Is anyone else having the worst weather imaginable today?

Folks I'm so happy to be able to report a 0.5lb loss :D Especially since during the week I'd been as high as 8st 6.75lb as my weight ballooned after the first 2 days of 1400 cals!!! I am now just 1lb away from the 5lb I said I wanted to lose. It's taking forever but at least it's back in the right direction again.

All this has made me reconsider whether 'blowout' weeks are ever going to be worth it... as I can easily put on 5lb in one week, but here I am on week 6 and it could be another 2 weeks or more before I lose that amount

My average calorie intake over the past 5 weeks has been 1245/day and I have formally exercised 6 out of every 7 days, so there's no lack of discipline... gosh, I hope this isn't what I have to do simply to maintain...

So, here goes another week of knuckling down... good luck to everyone else this week! :D

Hmm are you maybe trying to stick at too low a BMI for your system missyg? Maybe you need to have a bit of a think about raising your goal line a bit.

Good to see you Sophie! Have you got a diet plan in mind at the moment? Oh and the chart is done on a Wednesday so make sure your loss is posted then in nice large, bold and colourful numbers eg 5lbs off , well a Dragon can dream :rotfl:

Aw Bails thank you! I am happy, I can assure you of that, I have so much to be thankful for that I couldn't be anything BUT happy. So no need to worry about me, keep those energies focused on looking after yourself then when I see your progress I will be even happier!

Thanks Dragon, there probably will be a time when I get fed up and then decide to maintain at a little higher BMI, but at the moment I'm enjoying it too much. Unfortunately you guys see the vent/moan at the weigh in some weeks but not how much I enjoy my new lighter self while I'm out doing my activities etc! I wish I was better at expressing the positive side, I'll work on that :p

Yep - pouring rain and howling wind here  Not an outdoorsy day! I could have been working at an outdoor event today, how glad am I to be at home :D A good day for a bit of wii fit I think, perhaps a bit of cooking & freezing for later in the week and taking store cupboard inventory ready for next monthly grocery shop!

Hello Sophie, you've come to the right place! Tell us more, what method did you use to lose the weight last year, will you be doing the same this time? Good luck!

Ah but are you really enjoying it if you are venting at the weigh in :D, if you really are then dodgy hugs to you missyg :rotfl:

Aww, this thread is really friendly!
I just stuck to some kind of healthy eating plan and the weight just seemed to come off! I can't afford to join weight watchers or anything so I just try and plan the day out. It seemed to work for me so am going to try again.
We have just bought a huge bag of prawns from costco so it looks like prawn salad for dinner!
I'm off to work now, but i'll be back later, nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the new people. Nice to see you here :) Just chat away and get stuck in!!

Missyg: You can put 5lbs on in one week????? coor. There is one thing i really have trouble understanding with weight loss in this forum. Like yourself saying you can put 5lbs on in a week, and peoples weight flucturating overnight and during a week. For me that is never the case. I could probably eat and eat and eat and only put a lb on. How does that work? Am i just abnormal or something? i never get the differences at all whatsoever. Losing weight is about as hard as it is to put on for me!!

Weather is crap down here. Im sorting out camping and masks for the forthcoming weekends, then we might go out for lunch some where! (i know it wont be healthy either!!)

Pet: Enjoy him!!! Roddick is my fave tennis player, the muscles, his face, the bulge. Ohhh yea. I like men like that. James cracknell still floats my boat aswell. Then theres john mcenroe, bring on wimbledon i say :p
