Aww, this thread is really friendly!
I just stuck to some kind of healthy eating plan and the weight just seemed to come off! I can't afford to join weight watchers or anything so I just try and plan the day out. It seemed to work for me so am going to try again.
We have just bought a huge bag of prawns from costco so it looks like prawn salad for dinner!
I'm off to work now, but i'll be back later, nice to meet you all!

Sophie there are all sorts of free calorie count sites on the web, you could maybe sign up with one of those just to keep a track on things (or keep your self a food diary) - anyway best of luck and enjoy the prawns! (hmm speaking of which I should get some out of the freezer!) :rotfl:

Mr Kit is also doing SW because I do the cooking so am just going to cook my food for whole family (me, OH and DD age 3). Obviously DD is not going to be restricted at all cause she dont need to loose weight!

We are officailly starting tomorrow.... when on Wednesday is the list done? Can I post my weight on Tuesday evenings?

Vix I can put on nearly a stone in 24 hours if I have to take the really strong steroids! So with a lot of people it could be an outside influence aiding and abetting being porky. My Dad has only but on 5 pounds since he was 21 and he was a skinny begger then! (and he enjoys his food - not fair I say! mind you I was the same until the road accident and steroids :rotfl:)

hate to sicken you all ( but I will).

The weather is beautiful in Norn Iron... It's mostly sunny with some cloud but it is a bit windy. Perfect bank holiday.nature-smiley-5398.gif

missyg - the core plan on WW is more restricted than the points plan. On core, you eat 3 meals/day, snack on fruit and veg in between. Core foods are unprocessed, so lean meats, milk, yoghurts, low fat soft cheeses, pasta, potatoes, wholegrain rice, etc. The beauty of it is, you don't count points/portion sizes but use hunger/satisfaction as your signals. you also have 21 points/week to spend on salad dressings/processed foods/sweets/alcohol etc. It's a lot stricter in some ways but I think that's what I need for now.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Welcome Sophie! You've obvioulsy had good success so far so stick with what you were doing and with regular support from here, you'll be laughing I reckon!
Kit, the chart is done on a Wed evening so posting on a Tuesday night will be in plenty of time.
Vix, the body is so complex it's impossible to compare why everyone's does such different things. You maintaining pretty much whatever you eat suggests that you may be at your natural weight. Being younger is also a big bonus, as your metabolism slows down the older you get (or in my case pretty much stops altogether lol!)
Lucky you Delly, enjoy it for all of us! Where did the cool sun thing come from in Dragon's quote??
I'm in the middle of trying to win some festival tickets on Ebay, and I just can't decide how much to go up to! Argh!

    Hi All

Hello to all the newbies - you'll love it here!

I've had a bad week! Still not 100% (keep going dizzy) ill-violated-dead-smiley-5393.gif so have not done much exercise and to top it all it's my second son's birthday today and we have had family and friends round each day since Friday, so lots of cakes and nibbles. Definately put on this week but don't want to look unntil Wed weigh in to see how much! Seeing the dreaded outlaws on Friday so I have to be extra good until then. MIL makes not so diguised remarks about my weight. I'll be very good when I'm there though, she frys everything in lard and never serves vegetables. Just fatty meat and pots (usually cooked in lard)vomit-smiley-544.gif. I go to the local Tesco and bring my own food for us. Love grossing her out when I give the kids pizza!:rotfl:

Haven't read all the posts (and there are sooo many!) but will catch up. Did see your pics Ajax. What can I say! Looking gooooooood! And Jules I agree, you look lovely in both pics but can def see the difference. Well done. I did think I might post my pics soon but then remembered I wore a swimsuit for the before pic and don't want to put anyone off their food. Then again good dietary aid!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!
