SW breakfasts - yum yum! As a veggie I know you'll always do green days, so no bacon :p but you can have a plateful of cooked food - baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, quorn sausages, eggs - or you could have fruit and yogurt if you're after something lighter.

....fruit and yoghurt sounds ok, can't be done with the palaver of the rest though as I get up at 5.30 for work.

Sainsbury's sell frozen fruit salad which is ideal for this - put some in a covered bowl before going to bed and they're ready to eat in the morning. I add a small amount of cereal and natural yogurt, for a filling low calorie start.

Salad at 5.30am just seems so wrong lol.

I'm pretty sure that SW make allowances for shift workers, so it might be worth checking it out if you want to go to class - why not ask on the SW thread.

.... when I went to class some years ago, shift worker allowance used to be "Here's a daytime class 7 miles away, go to that!". I'll ask the question though, thanks :)

edit to add potatoes to the list of foods you can have *free* on green!

....potatoes at 5.30am seems as inappropriate as cucumber :)

    Hi Lovely Peeps :hello:

Like delly I haven't got much to say but I've enjoyed reading through, so I spared you my usual rambling stuff, but you have helped me keep focussed so thanks :D ...

...I'm glad to see some of you using pedometers, I love mine (not in that sense :naughty:;) ) but with MrP being off work at present I keep forgetting to swap it to my various change of trousers, so the figures aren't accurate for the last few weeks. The most I ever did in one day was 30,741 but that was on 24/12 and I was very busy so it's not normal. If you try and increase the count even by a small amount, it really does help!!...

...Beanie I hope you start to feel on the up :grouphug: Life does get in the way doesn't it?...

...Lois Glad to see that you're back on track and that OH is on the mend...

...Welcome etherelda You've come to the right place for all the support you could ever wish for:j Good luck :j ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
  • Well, I am very ashamed to say I only did 6000 steps on Sat and 4500 on Sun, as I wanted to do 10K each day I failed miserably. Off to work shortly and am out at yoga class this eve so don't think I will get too many done today. I wasn't going to post but decided I must own up and then guilt would make me more focused. Feeling dejected as don't think I've lost even 1Lb this week though I have been trying to be good. Wed is WeighDay for me. Can I really make a difference by then?
    WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

    3lbs off! :D :j

Ajax - I couldn't eat anything at that time of the morning!

Do you get a break around 'normal' breakfast time and do you have a microwave?

......short breaks are as and when we fancy (but don't tell the boss lol). I really like to have brekky before I leave for work though.

There's a microwave but anything done before the main lunch break would have to be extremely quick to prepare - don't wanna take the pee. Would love to hear what you have in mind though

This morning's was a sachet of ready brek - yummy but very moreish.

Bitterly disappointed to report a 0.25lb gain.

In the past two weeks I have:
    • On average, eaten 1271 calories per day, well below what would usually be needed to maintain
    • Done decent formal exercise 12 out of 14 days, plus all my normal walking and kept active much of the time
I should have lost 2-3lb on that timeframe at this pace. Even if I had sat on my butt the whole two weeks I should have lost 1lb. Yet I am back to exactly where I was two weeks ago

I'll get over it in a minute, just needed to vent :(

OK, over it now, I'll try to get my head around what to do this week to attempt once again to shift this last NASTY STUBBORN 1.5lb...! Ooops didn't I say I was over it? I am... really...!

Hugs Beanie... sorry to hear you had bad news, it's horrible when that happens :( I hope things are going to work out OK.

Vix - the band is often too big yes, the cups are either too big or too small depending on style/size :rotfl: I'm trying all sorts, not just one size. Hardly anything sporty starts at a 28 or 30 (and if they do, they are A-B cups only...) I'm currently doing my 32's up on the tightest fastening but they are too big in the cup and I'm getting worried about damage in the meantime, so I'm sticking to exercise that doesn't cause excessive bounce (morning Ajax) :rotfl: Have to wait 7-10 days for the next bra from my order to arrive now...

Lemon Drop, "very painful" isn't right... get along to your GP hon, we could guess at what it is, but there is no substitute for a proper diagnosis.

Hey Lois, great to hear about the re-booking of Vegas! Good luck with losing the pounds before then :D (Just don't lose more £'s when u get there ;)) Congrats on your fab result this week too!

Dirty Stopout - did you have a nice sleep?

KPC, glad someone else has admitted to frozen Yorkshires ;) Hehe.

Surfbabe - fantastic loss this week :D Great that wii fit is helping too!

Hey Pet, I personally like your 'rambling stuff' especially about the tennis. When's the next tournament?

Procrastinator... hope you have a good yoga class tonight. Most of us know the feeling you're going through, but if you're doing the best you can that's all you can do - have a moan and then forget about it, move on! :D Oh, and yes you can make a difference in 2 days!

Good news from here - Penguins are through to the Stanley Cup finals :j and it's pasta bolognese day, my favourite (sorry, yes I know it's Veggie week :o)
