... far from perfect..........they were squidgy at the bottom  .
    FFM :)

Story of my life - oh sorry you were refering to your yorkies!

I made a big fresh cream victoria sponge for my son's party. Would you believe it one lad is on a diet (he is a little rotund), one doesn't like cream (mad!), and the third stuffed himself with chicken so he couldn't manage any! At least my kids and OH tucked in - my bit was purely for quality control!:D I wonder why I can't get rid of my squidgy bottom!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

Yorkshires....the oven has to be smokin' as well as the oil in the bottom of the pan, when you put the mix in they should splatter and hiss. throw them in the oven as fast as you an close the door and do not re-open until cooked:D my kids love my HM ones, must admit have not made them for ages and have not had a sunday lunch for ages either, kids and OH say it is too heavy and unnecessary and they are happy with the usual day to day meals:D

Thanks victory, I am sure that it is the temperature that is the problem, I have a fan assisted oven and I've never got the fat 'smoking'. Oh, well, so long as they taste good.

We went quite a while not having Sunday roast, then about 2 years ago started it again. Although we always sit down around the table for tea - all 4 of us, it is quite nice to have roast on Sunday. We have it at tea time rather than lunch.

DS came in once for tea on Sunday and asked what it was, I said 'roast' and in his innocence (he had been out in the cul-de-sac playing football) he said, wow! that's a coincidence all the other lads are having roast for tea too :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I did explain to him that it is a british tradition on a Sunday to have a 'roast', bless him, he didn't know.

Tagz, I agree with you, I don't see it as a workout and I don't count it alongside my normal exercise, just consider it something extra to keep moving. I am enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would, as I never ever play computer games. There seems enough to keep the interest going for a while :D I have been enjoying the jogging this weekend, I like how you can pick the things you feel like doing, better than an exercise DVD in that respect. The reliance on the "A" button can be annoying though.....

FFM - cute things kids say :p One of my favourites from my son aged about 6 was "Mummy isn't it good, the Sainsburys man always brings us the stuff we like!" :rotfl:

Sorry to hear that Lou, depending on the circumstances sometimes those closest to us are the hardest people to open up to, if you need a shoulder or ear to lean on, feel free to PM me, that's a genuine offer.

I trust things work out well for you.
