I've been doing lots of baking, I'm on the Grocery Challenge and trying to reduce my outgoings - very successful so far - a holiday will be very affordable this year.
I cycled to the shops today to get milk, fruit and veg - good for exercise and to make sure I don't buy too much - 'cos it won't fit in the rucksack :rotfl: I like to do this as it reduces the petrol I use too, I think I will try to find my old paniers (I think they are somewhere in the loft) and try to do even more by bike.
Made some wonderful butterfly cakes earlier only 5 out of the 18 are left, Mr Monkey and the little monkeys like them too. At least they should be gone before I eat too many, 3 for me so far
How you doin' ?

Mmm butterfly cakes! I could just help you out with those last 5 right now
What I like about cycling into town is no parking charges and no worrying about rushing back in time before the ticket runs outNo petrol is ALWAYS a good thing as you say too.
It's been a very quiet weekend here, but very enjoyable! Just keeping the cals down trying to make up for my ONE bad day during the week  I want tomorrow's weigh in over with, so that I can start afresh on trying to shift this ridiculously stubborn bit of weight0 -
:hello: Hiya FFM and Missy, and anyone else around
London was a lot of fun, OH's family (his dad's side) are all lovely and they like me so that's a reliefThen we went on to a birthday party which was also good fun, and I managed not to spend anything all day except for the tube and train fare :T despite getting rather mullered :rotfl:Got to bed at 4.30am, woke up at 7am to catch the train back so an early night tonight me thinks!
Some great stuff going on here with fantastic weight losses and shifting dress sizes and lots of exercise, all fab :T
Welcome back Ajax, was wondering where you were - had completely forgotten about your holsDoh! I am trying to get hold of my mum to get the p for you.
Beanie, I missed the programme this week as I was out so will need to catch up. Yes, Ken is my friend.
FFM, cycling to the shops sounds like a great idea. When I can I'm going to give that a go, thanks for the inspiration (not sure I can make the corner shop at mo :rotfl:).
Vix, glad you have worked through how you were feeling about your mum, some lovely advice and I still think it would be a nice idea to suggest spending some quality time together (with advance notice as Granny said). I think mother-daughter relationships are notoriously tricky, at least at some point, and it's always good to communicate your feelings; people can't change if they're not aware of it. Your ball sounds well ace, and all free too! Where do I sign up for next year?

Hi Bails and Missyg
Sorry, just popped back to the kitchen to mix up some yorkshire puddings to go with the roast beef. I just cannot get the mix/temp/fat/etc right, I've had them looking like muffins - no hole for gravy - what's that all about?I've had little flat biscuity pancakey looking things. Anyway, fingers crossed for this batch - I'm following an Emmerdale Farm Cookbook recipe (it was a present from my Dad and stepmum when I left home for polytechnic over 20 years ago
). Hilariously, a lot of the recipes are quite old-style and good.
Best pop back to the kitchen before the other monkeys notice I've disappeared again.

Hello everyone,
just stumbled upon your forum, really great to see such encouragement.
I've lost 1st 2lbs since March, and a further 2lbs since Wednesday. Feeling good, but still another 1st 10 to loose. Managed to get into some of my old clothes, which will save on spending on new ones, and anything that is too big (eventually) will be taken in care of my mothers sewing machine.
I've just had what I think was 'the dreaded plateau'. But 3 gym sessions in 6 days, 3000 cals burnt later, has rewarded me with another 2lbs, first loss in 3 weeks. Thats too many barbeques for you. I'm currently on Nutracheck, which is working great. Good to have a combined diary, where I can eat the cals I've burnt off in exercise.
Had my first binge the other day, smarties, almond thin biscuits, white wine and mini battenburg cakes. Yum Yum Yum. Not usually into sweet things.
I'll keep an eye out for tips and recipes......DMP Mutal Support thread No 237

ether welcome and well done:D
Glad to read all you lovely peeps are doing so well, hi ajax:D ,anyone struggling because it is the weekend etc hang in there treat it like a monday and think of your next weigh in, it is worth it in the end;)0 -
Hey Bails glad the weekend went well! 4:30am
Can't remember the last time I did that - it's obviously been TOO long!
Can't help with the yorkies FFM... but good luck with your current batch!
Hello Etherelda and welcome! 3000 cals in 3 gym sessions must have been a heck of a tough few workouts - respect!!! Great to have another exerciser around
OK so it's Missy's scores on the doors time. Average per day this week is 1358 and I've put it as moderately active again which should be at least 1lb loss. It won't be (I've seen the scales all week)! Now I do have to confess there is an element of guesswork in Thursday's calorie intake. I thought I'd put down enough to overestimate, but it could be under however not by a huge amount. The rest of the week is accurate, and if anything I have underestimated on the activity side.
Yet I am expecting a gain at tomorrow's weigh inSo I shall report in tomorrow with a damage report, and my plan for next week. I have obviously hit a wall for some reason but I'm determined to sort it out and learn from it.

Oh, whoops! They've all gone
I did only have 1 more myself, DD had 2, DS 1 and OH 1. They want me to make some more tonight, but I've told them that the chocolate muffins and queen cakes need to go first. DD doesn't like chocolate (strange child), so it will be the queen cakes for her. DS is a chocoholic like me.
'fraid my yorkies were far from perfect, they were all eaten and little monkeys said they tasted nice - but they were squidgy at the bottom. I think it is the temperature thing - but the roast potatoes were looking decidedly dark brown - verging on black.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Ajax - 'Me and me boyz had a well random time!'
Missy I'm loving wii fit. Not very strenuous so don't really see it as serious exercise but love the yoga! I do about 40 mins and find I'm a bit warm afterwards but don't work up a sweat. Use it as a cooling down after my go on the crosstrainer. How about you? I love the heading game but only so I can have the kids in fits of laughter when I get booted in the head! I do like being told I am a yoga master!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Good luck tomorrow missyg, hope it's not as bad as you think it might be. I don't know how bails managed with only 3 hours kip - it was years ago that I last did that - so long ago, that at my age, I can't remember when...
