Been feeling down since yesterday
My mum is being really gay at the mo. She never wants to anything just me and her, it kinda hurts that she seems to not have any time for me now. Even in my exams, i didnt really get any support or encouragement, just "we cant help that the electricians are here this week" kinda stuff.
The last time mum and i had any time together was when we went to the spa for her birthday nearly a year ago. I always see mothers and daughters shopping in town together or doing things together. Maybe im being silly and i need to grow up or something, i dunno.
Sorry, i needed to offload again.
tHIS may not help you but you say you always see mothers and daughters shopping in town together etc but that is just what your emotional romantic side sees, it really is not the case, I spend little if none time with my mother and often fantasize about other relationships and how from looking in they look so tight night, such a laugh, so cosy but each relationship has it's problems, it is not all rosy.
My mother is not an approachable person so once I wrote her a letter which she cried over because she did not realise how bad she was making the situation and how bad I felt about things, it did improve and we did not have to go through the embarrasment of sitting infront of each other saying what we thought, she read the letter and acted on it in her own time but at least I knew that she knew what I was feeling.
I am old and have never grown up:rolleyes: I think it is human nature to want a relationship with your mother to it all be lovely, mine is something else but having said that she is my mother and the only one I have, my father died many a moon ago but I still miss him, cry over father's day etc, we all want what we think is perfect, perfect is impossible to achieve:rolleyes:
I also made a tape recording once of my thoughts, never gave it to her but there is some ideas, the letter, leave a message on her answering machine, a tape recording so she can listen and act accordingly or if she is actually approachable then talk to her face to face, write it down first so you don't get confused within the emotion and be factual rather than accusing because that puts peoples backs up or failing all that an email, a card addressed to her.....0 -
Hi folks,
still here - just not much to say.
but WOW - kymrob 6lbs off ! well done.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Wow Kymrob that is fantastic! Well done. Wish I could try your diet but hate mackeral.
Vix. What Victory suggested is a good idea. Once did the same when mum and sister seemed to be taking over my wedding and telling me what I was going to have on the big day. Wrote them both a letter telling them how they were upsetting me. They didn't reply just backed off a bit. Afterwards mum told me she didn't realise how I was feeling.
Victory. Where is this Primark? I've got to get some new clothes and love their stuff! If you like candles have you tried the ones in M&S? I once bought a candle in Selfridges, it was in a tin and was supposed to smell like fresh linen. Well it did until you lit it then it smelt of nothing! Waste of money!
Hi Dellybelly! I love your avatar. David (first name terms now!) once filmed a drama in our area and he drove by in a car the opposite way to me. Just two panes of glass and a few inches between us! Ooohhh!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
I hope everyone's having a good weekend so far!
Vix sorry to hear you've been feeling down. I would be gutted if my son felt I wasn't doing enough with him, or didn't have time for him. Does your Mum know how you feel?
Kymrob that is a huge loss! Remind us when you started, was it the beginning of this year? Is this costing you a fortune in new clothes?
I seem to be on track for a gain this week. I admit to going overboard on Thursday but I didn't think it would ruin the whole week. Average will still be under 1400/day and at least moderately active which should be about 1lb loss, but scales suggest otherwise  I think I must be getting something wrong with the calorie intake/exercise balance so I will try a different approach next week.
One of my sports bras has arrived. Bet it doesn't fit0 -
One of my sports bras has arrived. Bet it doesn't fit
Hi Missy
I have exactly the same prob but when trying on normal bras too! Depends on each style really. I'm a big girl (cup size wise!) and find in the same size on one bra it's too big and on another my cup runneth over if you know what I mean. It a bind when I need a new one! Now I've lost some weight I have to get a couple of new ones and I'm dreading it. Mind you my sports bras still fit fine as they are quite adjustable. I've got the Shock Absorber ones level 4. But I have to be careful as I could have someone's eye out!:DI would if I could but I can't so I won't!0
