Moggins, Penny Pincher - thank you, it is such a comfort to receive your words. My dear Henry - I know he is not a child but he was my baby and I am just heart broken to lose him.

Everyone, please keep talking about your day/weekend, I don't want to unnecessarily turn this thread into something it wasn't intended to be.

So sorry to hear about your poor Henry. What a horrible thing for you. Will be thinking of you.
  • Good luck glad for tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about Henry snowy owl.

Although not as bad a day as some of you I have had to listen to my neighbour drill outside for over 7 hours whilst I have a headache from my whiplash. He has been out there nearly every sunday fixing his car for 6 months!!

I am getting more mobile now and have my cast off Friday although my whiplash is painful. I only have one t-shirt left in the washing basked. Nearly all the housework is done and I have an edible shepherds pie in the oven.

Got a treat tonight as casualty is on again yippeeeeeeeeee

((((((((HUGS))))))))Snowy owl I am so sorry to hear about Henry especially when you went thru losing Baba so recently. Both Henry and Baba were so very lucky to have such a loving home and caring Mum, I know how much this hurts as it is only a couple of weeks since I lost our 4 year old "Phoebe" and my heart goes out to you. Have a good old cry and let it out, it helps a bit!
If you need to talk I'm here!

PP sorry you had a rotten time, hope everything improves soon.

We are slowly recovering from a family party for oh's half century! Not been very ol style I'm afraid - Oh well Beans on toast for the rest of the week then!

Snowy so sorry to hear about Henry.
We have a dear old moggy too ,dont know what we'd do without him.

This morning we went shopping as usual. We did a detour to lidl for their 1/2 price fruit and veg. Then to homebase for a PVC Greenhouse and ended up buying 2 as they had reduced them to £30.Eventually we got to Asda and spent £16 on the rest of the shopping.
It poured really hard last night and all the veggies are splattered with mud but at least still alive .I picked a second handful of french beans today,so there are now 2 portions in the freezer waiting till there are enough for a meal.
DD is at Karate class now as they are earning their next belts. She'll be an orange belt if she gets it.
OH suprised me by ironing DS's shirts for the week.He said DS had enough to do with all that homework:) (We all do our own ironing now my 2 are teens).
OFf for a nice hot cuppa now and a biccy :D

Sorry about your loss and the dreadful shock that it must have been for you.

Made a loaf today and have another which will cook overnight in the BM.

DH gets home tomorrow night and will have home made soup in slow cooker and home made bread to welcome him.

House is a tip but have got other things done instead so I am not too bothered.
