Hi Everyone
I took Squeaky's advice as soon as I saw it (and thank you to everyone who also said to call the vet) and have now been to the vet. Unfortunately it is probably the worst thing ever. Henry's kidneys are packing up and he isn't going to survive. That is the simple truth of it. The vet recommended I let Henry stay there so that he could receive some fluids by drip, but really this is just buying time, and that I will probably have to make "the decision" very soon. So I am home without my Henry and I will probably never have him home again. I am so upset.

Oh Snowyowl, how dreadful for you. It is terribly sad when you lose a pet or have to take the awful decision. You must try to console yourself with the fact that your cat had a happy and pampered life and was lucky to have been your pet.
Sorry to hear the sad news.

Hello everyone, and thank you for your kind and good wishes. I am distraught at the thought of losing my Henry. He is such a special boy and I love him so much, life without him if this really is the end will be awful.
Today I just need to get on with things and try to be positive, though I know that the situation with Henry isn't going to improve. The best I can hope for is that he will be comfortable and will pass away in peace.
I have a very heavy heart today. This is a day that I hoped was not due for many years to come.
Thank you again for your kindness.0 -
Oh Snowy, I'm so sorry hun *hugs*
I had a strong feeling it would be this but didn't want to say anything and alarm you before you'd seen the vet. It's also made me realise I need to get the vet to look at one of my cats as I've suspected the last few days she could have a kidney problem too, albeit very early stages, but other things have got in the way this week so I'm going to call them out first thing tomorrow to get bloods etc done and check her over.
It doesn't seem that long since you lost your other cat so this must be dreadful news for you. At least now he's with the vet they'll give him pain relief so he won't suffer and will pass away peacefully. My thoughts are with you hun xxx"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Afternoon
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((snowyowl))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Sorry about yesterday-feel quite embarrassed nowOH said it wont happen again :j
Feeling a little better today but just very tired and drained, but hey, whats newlol.
Anyway, today have done 2 washloads (1 being dd's bedding and her towel), 20 min blitz and toilet. Our tiles in the bathroom have been driving me mad for ages (soap scum build up) cleaner did them friday but really made no difference-so OH used some Cillit bang on them this morning and theyve come up like newIm sure if this is done say every 3 weeks, it will be easier to keep on top of but nothing else worked-even vinegar  The bathroom is getting re-fitted by council early next year with walk in shower so only a few months and it will be all done anyway
DD is going to hoover the stairs down with her new toy (rechargeable handheld hoover  )
Looked through the cleaners list of jobs to do each friday and have knocked some jobs off, so she can concentrate on the bigger things that are more difficult for me to do (wooden blinds, polishing, hoovering, moping, pulling sofas out, bathroom, pictures, kitchen fronts etc). Do you think this will make it easier? These jobs can be done more throughly then.
One of our friends came back from USA yesterday and he's coming for dinner about 5.30. Im rude to him all the time..lol, so if i get tired-i'll probably just go to bed and watch some tv, but he wont stop late as he needs to get up early as he works up town. Just wanted to make sure he ate well today. He bought me some Dove products back-mainly deodrant as I cant get the stuff I like over here and there much better value in the states. He bought me 3 which will last nearly a year-there bigger than what you get here. DD has nicked one-but will last her a few months :T Plus he didnt want any dosh for them-so even better. He's pretty good and will bring a pudding later and some beers for him & OH.
Got a large chicken out freezer (Waitrose Organic-reduced to £2.99  ) So will do Roast Chicken with: sausage each wrapped in bacon (so i dont have to serve alot of chicken each), roasties, mash, HM yorkshires, stuffing, carrots, peas/sweetcorn & gravy. There will be enough left for a HM pie and chicken/stuffing/mayo sarnies tomorrow for OH
We have watched Swiss family robinson together and I forgot what a good film it is. DD now wants to go to a deserted island-I did say we could make this happen for her-but she didnt seem too impressed
Dont know why???? Think we are going to play a board game in abit, then watch another episode of Lost. DD is helping me do the "roast" and is peeling the spuds/carrots and making the yorkie batter. She's a good girl :A
OH has finally agreed to go to the GP's tomorrow. He's been rough for a few months now, not sleeping properly, constantly tired, headaches, asthma bad and lots more but he is so stubborn. Wasnt till one of his friends whos nearly a doctor said he needs a full MOT that he said he would go. Typical men!! Im sure he will be OK.
Anyway, will catch up later. BTW-dont know why my birthday is now showing as the 9th and not 10th
Luv to all.

P-P you make me feel exhausted just reading about everything you do in a day  and also put me to shame as I'm sure my health isn't as bad as yours
Just noticed you also watch Lost... great series and I'm hooked already!
... but I didn't watch it last Wednesday (had seen the C4 one the previous week and the E4 one will be repeated this week) as I couldn't bear even having the tv on that night. I'm just wondering from what you've said if it's shown again today though? ... and if so what time? I presume it will be on E4 and I could turn the tv on to check I guess but I'm being lazy lol
Sorry you had a horrible day yesterday (only just read about it) and glad to hear you're feeling much better today"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
