Just remembered - it's recycling day today, so mooching round the office to see if there's anything else I can take down the centre.

I've collected the used stamps from work to give to charity.

Trying to tear myself away from the cricket to go home - but we just need one more wicket_party_

Curry_Queen, thank you. I knew you'd have more knowledge than you were letting on. You're right, I lost one of my other cats Baba on the road in March this year. That was a dreadful shock too and I miss him sitting on top of the wardrobe or waking up to find him fast asleep on my hip. It is horrible and miserable to lose my cats - Baba was only about seven, Henry I think is around 10 or 11 (he was a stray when I got him so I can't be sure). I really feel sick at the thought of being without my Henry. What can I say to put across how fond I am of him. I know I shouldn't have favourites, but Henry is such a character and there is a very strong bond between him and me. I hope that I get the opportunity to see him again. If he has to go to sleep then I want to be holding him at that moment. Oh this is simply horrible I feel so bad, but what else can I do, I have to face it.

To think that I came to this house with three gorgeous healthy cats, and now about a year later it looks like it will be me and just one v.old dear of a kitty called Tabitha (aged 17). At 17 I know that she doesn't have so many years in front of her.
  • Hey

CQ-My dad has recorded the whole series of Lost for us. Think we're up to episode 20-so addictive. Should be repeated on E4 though ;)

Just wanted to say that I dont do all the work myself-Im a dab hand at delegating jobs :D I dont actually think I do that much. Compared to what i used to do (18months ago)-I feel like a right lazy cow now. I have a special stool in the kitchen and just potter around gently. Also have a few other aids around the house which makes things a little easier. I cant do much about the pain, so find it either helps to potter around or sleep. My stairlift will be in soon and this will make life so much easier for me. I think because we try and keep on top of everything-it does make it easier to keep home clean and tidy, but I have always been obsessive about housework and keeping clean. Being at home 24/7 is just so boring-Im a people person and hate living like this. More frustration than anything else. Just didnt expect to be living like this at 31

Hopefully, Lupus will go into remission, FMS will naff off and all other bits will be erased......am I asking for too much

    Anyway, take care all.

Snowy, I feel so upset for you, just try and tell yourself you have done the best thing for Henry, I hope he has no more pain.
P-P A belated Happy Birthday to you, sorry you had a bad day.
We seem to be having a lazy weekend, I haven't been well this week and went shopping yesterday which was really too much for me but I just like to get out into the real world instead of being stuck here all day. I have finally admitted defeat and am going to get a wheelchair after our holiday!
Going to hang the washing out and hopefully get my pansies planted this afternoon.
Sausages with jacket spuds and beans for tea, we never cook much at weekends.
    Enjoy the day.

    I just read about yesterday.

    What an inconsiderate family!!!!!

Most people would feel bad at turning up unexpectedly for one main meal but two!!!!!

If it happens again- just say - "Oh hello -I was not expecting anyone and was just going to rest - doctor's orders" - then just go!

Let DH make them beans on toast if he was soft enough to let them in!

Sorry to be mean but he is your carer and that means protecting you as well as physical chores.

What a rotten birthday for you. Big Hug.

  • Snowy, I know how much you love your cats and I also know how devastated you were at losing Baba ... gosh it doesn't seem as far back as March, where does time go! I'm so sorry about Henry, but I'm sure the vet will let you be there with him if that's what you want to do, and I think it will help with the grieving process if you can do that. I don't know what time evening surgery ends at your vets but maybe it will coincide with your work hours, although I'm sure they'll do whatever they can to help you :)

You've done remarkably well with Tabitha and I can only hope and pray my two will reach that age too, although I have known much older cats (oldest was 28 when he died and was in relatively good health throughout) but at 12 and 13 I'm having to watch them much closer now for any signs of impending problems. I'd be absolutely devastated to lose either of them as I've had them since they were born (mother and daughter) and they've been through so much with me over the years, which is why I'm concerned about the eldest one right now. She's not actually showing any signs of being ill, but I'm picking up on one or two things that alert me to a possibilty of kidney problems, which is why I need to get her checked asap.

If you need to talk any of this through then please feel free to PM me and I'll do whatever I can to help :)

    Take care Snowy xxx :A

    Hello everyone

My beautiful special boy Henry has died. The vet phoned about 20 minutes ago to say that he had gone. This is awful, I can't stand it.
