Good morning Glad!
I've never posted on this before - so I hope no-one minds!!! (I read it every day though!)
Today I am going to iron all of daughter's school uniform ready for the week ahead, also remove all the horrible cobwebs that have suddenly appeared all over the house and clean my leather sofas with saddle soap (excellent way of bringing the most filthiest of sofas looking (almost) new again!!
Later we are going to have roast chicken, roast tatties, HM yorkies, veg, gravy and bread sauce - yum!!
Hubbies still in bed so I'm going for a bath now - then I'll get daughter's breakfast!! :jSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
aww Penny-pincher, just noticed your post yesterday about your birthday, sorry you had such a bad day
maybe you should be a little more selfish whilst you are having such a rough time, if your husband is being paid to be your full-time carer and you get money for a cleaner too, then you really should be able to think of yourself and get more rest, you shouldn't be up every morning doing as much as you do, health is more important
as for the visitors yesterday you should have just said 'right time for my rest now, thanks for coming'
btw don't know if it's a glitch but yor birthday now showing in the calender as the 9thI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Morning all.
Horrible day here yesterday so I currently have laundry hanging all over the house trying to get it dry. Will try and get it out in the garden later.
Just off to church then planning to spend a fun afternoon working out how to use the breadmaker my mum lent me yesterday. Made some leek & potato soup yesterday so looking forward to some yummy bread to go with it.
Roast beef with all the trimmings for dinner tonight, then a quick whizz round to tidy the house before Monday hits me between the eyes again.
Where does the weekend go!?0 -

Hi stressedoutmum, and welcome :hello: ... you've just reminded me I need to go make sure DS has a clean uniform for tomorrow and wash some things if not... so thankyou :T
Hope everyone else is having a good day! I'm still sat here with my :coffee: trying to avoid doing anything as usualbut should really have a think about what to do for dinner today.

Hello Everyone!!
At work again today - I'm so tired.
Going over the cemetry later to put some flowers on my Dad's grave - it's ayear since we lost him. I can't believe it's gone so fast and that this time a year ago he was still alive.
Blackberry picking this afternoon for bramble jelly and a nice crumble. Had to chuck a load of plums away yesterday as they'd gone off really quick.
Picked the remainder of the onion and had to decide that the 6 runner beans growing will be used for next year's beans. Must get new soil by then!!!
Hope everyone's ok
EDIT: Also just remembered (I have a sieve for a brain) I got the DVD out the paper at work - so completely free as the company paid for the paper:DComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
