I must go and fish something out of the freezer that I can put in the slow cooker tomorrow. I have my biopsy tomorrow afternoon and know that I'm not going to feel like cooking after thatOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi everyone
I don't know if anybody ever reads these diary threads this late in the day, but to anyone who checks this out, and who replied to my posts about my dear kitty Henry, then thank you. It has been a horrible dreadful day and I feel sick that I have to go on without him. Your posts and words of comfort have been wonderful to receive when I needed them so much. I feel like my heart is broken as Henry was such an important part of my life and he was so generous with his cuddles and affection. I will miss him for a very long time.
Best wishes to everyone, especially to Penny Pincher, Glad, Curry_Queen and Moggins who are going through especially challenging times.0 -
Morning everyone
Another sleepless night for me, up already after only four hours of sleep, though I think that is a long time for some of you out there in OS-land.
I am so glad yesterday is over, my dear Henry-cat broke my heart when he passed away so suddenly. It's just me and my old dear kitty Tabitha from now on.
Today is just another work day for me. I considered calling in sick, but all I would do in that case is mope around the house. I have overtime this evening, so will be at work until 8.15 pm or so, unless I can find someone to swap with. Luckily I only live a few minutes drive away so I can get home at lunch, and again at 5.30 pm for half an hour if I do the o/t. This will be the first time in her entire life (17+ years) that Tabitha will have spent a day without a companion either feline or human, so I'll nip home as I can to let her know she hasn't been forgotten.
As for Old Style at the weekend. Well I managed a few loads of washing, and that was it, I had other things on my mind. The house is a tip but I am finding it hard to care.
Best wishes to those currently going through difficult days. Moggins, good luck with the biopsy today, I can't imagine how you must be feeling.
Have the best day you possibly can everyone.

Morning Hun
I hope today is a little easier for you.((((((()))))))
Just cant seem to sleep well at the moment. About 3 hours last night-i am so tired though.
20 min blitz will be delegated to OH and I will potter, toilet cleaned, floors swept. There were tons of chicken left from the roast, so dinner tonight will be HM chicken pie, mash & veg. Probably chicken/stuffing/mayo sarnies for lunch
There are a couple of films I may watch this week-been meaning too watch for ages, but always feel guilty watching tv.
Will catch up later.

Morning all.
Snowyowl, It probably is the best thing to do, going to work. It must be awful for you, I hope you are o.k.
Pennypincher, put your feet up and watch those films, rest in anyway you can!
Today is my first day back in work after 3 years and I'm terrified. I am trying to breath calmly, but I keep having panic attacks and shaking, but I know once I get there it will be O.K. I'm going back to where I used to work so I should know a few of the old faces. I'm also putting my little one into a daynursery, which I'm very happy with, but I know she's going to find it hard.
As for any oldstyle today the house is a tip, and I can't even think about dinner for tonight as I'm so scared about work the thought of food makes me want to throw. So it will be something easy from the freezer tonight when I've calmed down a bit.
Have a good day everyone, I'll check in tonight to see how everyone's day has been.0 -
Morning all, Snowy being at work is probably the best place you could be today.
Thanks for the good wishes, I must admit my stomach is churning, the last time they did a biopsy the local didn't take and it hurt like hell. DH is coming with me to hold my hand this time though.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Good morning everyone,
Today I will be catching up with cleaning after kids go to school. Horrible day in London today (weather I mean). Will have to tak OH to hosp today and pick him up later as he is having 'the snip'!!! Still can't get my head around that one.
Snowyowl - I hope it gets easier for you to deal with soon, as everyday goes past the pain will lessen.
Penny-pincher!! - Have a good day and try to rest.
Foreverskint - OMG, you are so brave, have a brilliant first day back at work!
Moggins - All the best at the hospital.

Morning all :hello:
Snowy - so sorry to hear about your loss.
Moggins - I hope that the biopsy goes ok.
Going for a shower in a minute. I need to motivate myself into doing the washing up. OH seems to have completely forgotten how to do it! The house needs a good clean as the newspaper fairies seem to have spread yesterday's Times all over the sitting room. Whoops
We'll be having a salad again tonight, which will be nice and healthy - I hope!
Have a good day everyone.

P-P, get your feet up and watch those films later
Foreverskint, hope your first day went well (presume you've gone now!)
Moggins, wishing you the best of luck at the hospital today *hugs*
Ruyareece, good luck to your hubby LOL! <ouch>
I slept in today and DS woke me on his way out to school so only on my first :coffee: of the day, which will take a few more to help get brain nto gear!
Trying to make a list of stuff I need to do, and have just dragged my diary out from the drawer which hasn't been used in months so may as well put it to good use instead of writing on scraps of paper which I invariably lose  Realised last night I've lost the passcode to one of my savings accounts so can't access it online. I had it memorised as well as having a sticky stuck to the monitor to remind me but not only have I forgotten it, but have also lost the sticky when I changed monitors :wall:
Got lots of phone calls to make this morning and I'm already started to get stressed over it
Think dinner is going to be a sausage and bean casserole with colcannon tonight, and I'm just trying to decide whether to stick that in the slowcooker before I do anything else, or just cook it up on the hob later. Not sure I could stomach the smell of fried onions and sausages right now tho _pale_
Hope everyone has a good day today!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
