Moring all, off to do the school run in half an hour, will come back and start on tea (tuna fishcakes) and then get this place up together, how am I supposed to take the house off the market when the estate agent keeps booking viewings :(

Why am I so tired when I actually got to bed at a decent time and slept all night?

*In the style of Robin Williams* Goooooooooooood Moorning Ol' Stylers!!!!! :D

I'm in a really good mood this morning. Suprising what a bit of pampering, CSI double bill with a bath taken inbetween episodes and "Medium" (new drama on BBC1) all watched in the bedroom can do for ones spirits. :D I had a really peacefull and relaxing night. I said we would never get a TV in the bedroom BUT I've changed my mind - I love it as I was up in the bedroom giving myself a mini pedicure by 8pm last night and OH didn't come to bed until gone midnight so I had 4 hours of bliss :j

Anyway, this morning I'm going to Asda, I just need to brush DD's hair and then get coats and bags and we'll be off. I might put some towels in to be washed before we leave since DD covered them in toothpaste yesterday. No other real plans except to finish playing Monopoly with DD - it's the best of three games played until one of us is bankrupt. DD won game one (£3820 plus ALL the property!) and I seem to be winning this one :D

Haven't decided what we'll have for tea yet - we may have fall out as we had pasta in cheese sauce last night so no bolognese for us. I'll have to see at lunch time :p

Good luck P_P with the psychotherapy.

FrankieM - I know what you mean about lists - it's getting to the stage where I'm making lists about the lists that I have to draw up:D

Vickie - good luck with the interview.

Moggins - this one might just be the one. Fingers crossed.

It's difficult for us to finish a game of Monopoly without someone sulking.:rotfl:

Well, done one wash-load but nothing else to bung in so that just means the ironing later. Or maybe not!!
Hubby & I are out tonight so just the children's dinner to sort out - probably pasta.
Hope to get out and do a bit of gardening. Think rain is forecast so better get my skates on!!
    Bye all

Beautiful sunny day here today - typically I did all the washing yesterday and it was rainy and gloomy....managed to get it all dry on hangers on the curtain tracks tho. Did wash all my quilts and pillows too yesterday - they did go in the tumble dryer as I needed to put them all back on the beds.

Working all day again today.....little one is currently asleep and normally sleeps for at least 3 hours...will try and get the ironing done before she wakes.

Did my stuffed peppers last night, skinned some tomatos (huge bag in the market for £1) fried off some onions (half price in lidl) added some herbs from the garden (free) a big splosh of wine (half price in France) and when they were nice and soft, mixed in with the tomatos with a pinch of sugar...filled the peppers (reduced to 9p each from morrisons) and topped with breadcrumbs (end of hm loaf) and grated cheese (bogof in morrison) - baked in the oven for just over an hour on a low heat.....they were delish......did 3 peppers cut in half - we ate 2 halves each last night and DH has taken the others to work today for lunch. They were so filling we didn't need anything else with them. DD's had the last of my tuna and crab fish cakes from the freezer with cous cous mixed with some left over salsa and half price baby sweetcorn and sugar snap peas.

Toad in the hole tonight with free sausages (mother cleaned out her freezer) half price potato, parsnip, broccoli and cauli from lidl and gravy made from some veggi stock in the freezer.....

Got a day off tomorrow and aim to make up at least 50 cards .....trying to build up some stock to sell at the local craft fair in November....sold 20 cards when we did our boot fair and got £1 each for them - I've got loads of ideas floating around - just need a day to actually have a play.

Got some rug canvas last week from ebay so need to cut up all my old t-shirts to start my rag rug project...DH is looking forward to helping - we're going to sit on the sofa in the winter evenings with it over our laps whilst we both work away at it....saves having the heating on! lol

    Hope you all wonderful days...

    just off to my bed

last but one night shift before op on Mon, working Sat night, also got to attend a de-escalation course Thurs, which will mean getting to Hosp 30 mins early to drive around looking for a parking space icon8.gif

Pooky - we love stuffed peppers too, our fave is to bake the hollowed out peppers in oven, cook some cous cous mix in some pine nuts and feta cheese and fill peppers with it, or if not got feta cheese I top with slice of any cheese and pop back into oven until melted, yum

will get up around 2pm and if the weather stays nice I can do some tidying up in the garden,

Pooky, I suddenly feel very hungry indeed! And really impressed with the card selling - 50 cards would take me .... well .....months!

Just a quick "hi" to everyone, and Ticklemouse, if you're reading, still thinking of you!

Dishwasher's chugging along, 1 load of washing in, I'm at work, not a lot more to add, save to say that I'm failing miserably at the Grocery Challenge for the second month in a row, but that's another thread! Take care, everyone!

  • OH has assured me he will put the washer on today

last night i made some bread (have retrieved the bread maker from the bottom of the pantry so now it is on the kitchen worktop so we will never have to buy a loaf again - unless it's stickered of course! :D ). So tonight's dinner is veggie soup and HM bread. the savoury stuffed veggie marrow will be put back a couple of nights (thursday is traditionally an ".... on toast" dinner as OH plays football). He's doing some wedding driving again tonight for a photo shoot so that should be another few quid in the pigyg bank. Also banking some more avon money been paid - does anyone else sell avon without a territory and, if so, any selling tips? I have given out the books for my second order but so far zilch - i struggled to make my first order too....... people get all excited when they see a book but don't put the orders in!!! and I was hoping it would be a nice little earner where I am but everyone seems to have it already off somebody (or so they say)........
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Been to Asda - weekly shop came to £8.57 including 75p for a reduced parasol base, and nearly £4 on a big block of cheese (which I'll grate later)! :D I will need to go out and buy more fruit and possibly more milk but since Asda is a 24 hour store I don't think that will be a problem. I'm trying to cut back on my "have one in ready" shopping, note not a spare one, but one that I buy when I'm about 3/4 of the way through something! Its not like I have the room either! Very happy with my parasol base - they were priced at £3 each when I saw them first so I've saved £2.25 :D I would have waited until they were cheaper but there was only 3 left so I thought I'd better get one, but glad I didn't pick one up the otherday when they were still £1.50 each :j

Monopoly has been put away and I'm banning it until half-term! DD took a terrible screaming strop when she didn't have enough cash to pay me rent and decided to sweep her arm across the board knocking the dice and houses all over the floor. I sent her to bed as judging by her reaction she's over tired again.

1 wash is done and out on the line, dishes are draining, money / budget is upto date and according to my calculations I have just under £50 left in my account for this month to pay for ebay postage and any Xmas bits I buy :j

Right, off to finish seeing to my Neopet and then I think I'll sit down with a cup of tea and my library books - I've got one called "I'm okay...You're a brat" which I want to read :rotfl:
