TM, don't feel guilty about not being there hun, you said it was surprising he had lasted that long, perhaps he was waiting for you to leave so you didn't have to go through that? XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
CQ - You deserve that wine, first thing in the morning or not, I hope your son gets the help he needs now. I know what you mean about writing it down, somehow it makes you feel not so alone doesn't it?

Hello all,
I don't think I'll be able to catch up on the reading from the last week and a half...
Anyway, I'm back from leave. Refreshed-ish.
I have overspent and the time has come to zip up my purse! I've only been spending money I have after everything's paid, but the point is, I should be saving it. Have had expenses through, like my boyfriend's birthday. There were a few nice things I wanted to get him, though we never go overboard. And we did go to our favourite Indian restaurant, but we only go there once, maybe twice a year! Nice though.
I even bought myself a skirt in Laura Ashely and it wasn't reduced!!!!!!!!!!!! I've NEVER done that. But I was so fed-up with my employers, and my boyfriend encouraged me, because I loved it, and could afford it. And it IS smashing.
Anyway, now time to stop spending. Apart from that haircut tonight (though the last one WAS November!)
I have started to make a little money on ebay and Amazon, which is exciting! I have a fair bit of food in, so no need to buy more this week. And it's getting out of the holiday season.
Looking forward to getting in the loop again!0 -
((((((HUGS))))) to TM. I know it's hard with a couple of young uns to look after but try to rest when you can, no matter how much you think you are prepared for such a loss it still comes as a great shock. I'm thinking of you.
((((((HUGS)))) to CQ and son as well. I am so sorry you are having such a traumatic time. Hopefully the situation will improve now that you have got this help for him.
Moggins - I hope you are getting some rest as well. I am sure that worry is playing it's part, it ties you in knots doesn't it? ((((HUGS)))))
I have just got a referral to ME clinic, just need to go for quite a few blood tests tomorrow and then I go on the waiting list so starting to feel a bit more positive though energy levels are still very low and I haven't made it in to work todayI hate letting people down but can't go in like this.
I did manage to make loads of beef stew in the slow cooker last night only to find I have no room in the freezer for it all  so it will be beef stew tonight and tomorrow night! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

TM So sorry to hear about your dad.
This morning was DS's first day at college(6th form) and first day in a school for 8 years. He sounds like he enjoyed it though.
DD was back to doing her homeschooling. We did a biscuit baking this afternoon and made 2 tins full.I managed to remember to put in a new batch of yoghurt aswell which should be nearly ready now.OH thought my horse fly bite (on my knee) looked like it needed a bit of help so I have some antihistamine tablets. I hate to take tablets usually as I dont use medication unless I absolutely have to but it was SO itchy and HUGE.
I Planted out some more onion seed in the hope that it would fill in the bits of row where none have shown up.
WE had sausage and rocket sandwiches for lunch and 3 whole radishes between the 2 of us (the slugs keep getting there first).

I have been reading the various threads and posts throughout the day at work but this is the first time Ive had 5 mins to post properly.
DD's enjoyed their first day back at school, they had dinners at school for a treat. They have a cafeteria so they just pay for what they eat, they both spent about £1.80 each which soon mounts up. They would have school dinners every day like their friends, but apart from the cost involved they have a bad enough diet anyway as they are so picky, I think a cheese or turkey sandwich with some yoghurt an apple and a bag of crisps is better for them than what my eldest had today, (chicken sticks, potato smiles, no veg at all, followed by a jam doughnut and a tip top drink)
They have no activities after school so they have had their tea and rushed back outside to play on thir bikes. They may as well make good use of what is left of the summer. Eldest has a friend for tea tomorrow so Im going to make some cakes in a minute, (choc fairy cakes) and DD has requested some with pink glace icing and some with yellow.
OH is back to our normal routine as Im back to work, (he does the food shopping) He wont go to two different supermarkets like I do, so Ive sent him to Sainsburys with a very small list, and Ill get the rest (very large list) from Aldi on Saturday. Its worth going on a Saturday for the savings.
We had a card from the postman telling us that someone has sent us a letter with no stamp. We have to go and collect the letter from the sorting office and pay £1.22 for the priveledge. I am tempted not to collect it, Im not expecting any important mail. I wonder if the sorting office will let me have a look to see if I can guess who its from before I decide if I want to part with £1.22? (Pre MSE I would just have paid the £1.22 for curiositys sake!)0 -
(((((((((((TM)))))))))))))))) - your dad is now at peace. He's lucky to have had such a caring daughter as you.
((((((((((CQ))))))))))) - your eldest now has the help that he needs, and you've been able to help him. Feel free to write as much down as you need.
