Hey
DD back to school today  We have recently gone onto Income Support so she started her free school dinners today. She had roast lamb in gravy, roast spuds x 5and carrots-said the carrots were mushy but she ate 3 but loved the meat and spuds (she is a roast spud junkie..lol). Had choc sponge and custard for pudding
She was quite impressed, Ive always said how horrid they were  It seems strange her not taking a pack up and her school has just allowed them to take a piece of fruit in with them for break time-she took an apple. I am going to call the school tomorrow and ask if they have a menu, so she knows whats she wants before she leaves for school. I do think that £1.90 for a dinner is terrible though, but am grateful that we dont have to pay and saves time in the morning. If she doesnt get on with them, she can back to pack up, but she loves her hot food, so fingers crossed she will stick with it and Im happy knowing that she has a hot meal at lunch time.
OH & I had breaded cod, mash and peas for lunch with tartare sauce. Made extra mash and knocked a shepards pie up for tea with cabbage and sweetcorn (which she did eat!). DD was starving when she got in, so allowed her a small yogurt as dinner was going to take 40 mins.
DD & OH have just gone out for 15 mins on their bikes. Poor me can look from the window and wish it was me....but never mind.
Anyway, got through 3 washloads today, floors have been swept and all downstairs done.
Have a nice evening.

:hello: Morning :hello:
PP - can I join you on the bacon roll please?
Well, I haven't slept well so far due to the mother of all sore throats deciding to visit me yesterday and it hasn't gone! I've also got a streaming nose, so I think that the technical term for my symptons is the "common cold"!
Yesterday was my interview with the supply teaching agency. They seem pretty confident that I should have some work once full-time teachers start getting ill and stressed. OH is looking forward to me being able to pay part of my way once more!
After my interview I popped in to see my future parents-in-law as they live just down the road from my interview. Which was very cunning on my part as I got a free lunch - thus stretching out the stuff that we've got at home in the fridge. I also got to see my little god son (who happens to be OH's nephew). He's very nearly 1 and likes to stand whenever he can. Alternatively, he likes to be held by his favourite Auntie Vicky and pretend he's making aeroplane noises as he is dipped and dived!
Well, today will be sorting out the house again. I need to keep it ship shape and think about packing up for our move in 2.5 weeks - and incase the letting agents have anyone who is interested in viewing it.
I'll be popping into the local town as it's market day today. Never know what might be around - oh and pop into Wilkos for some more tissues.
Have a good day. Bye.

hello
I joined recently & hope its ok for me to come on here daily!
I have had 4 hours sleep as am an insomniac!
Have just had some tesco sugar puffs & am drinking my coffee.
Got to get dd to school.
Today need to hang out washing, do some ironing, clean the bathroom & kitchen & dust & vaccum.
Also I have to go & spend some money. Am disappointed at that actually as have only spent £26.07 in the last 3 days. But I need birthday presents for my niece (5 tomorrow, where does the time go!) & my dd has a party to go to on Sunday. Also need to put some fuel in the car. Looked at some of the prices local to me yesterday & nealry fainted. Some were as expensive as 95.4p. Cheapest I was was 90p.
Anyway I have rambled on!
Have a good day all!

Morning everyone, Lisa it's good to see you here.
I'm having a hard time adjusting to these early mornings again. All I wanted to do was fall asleep by 3pm yesterday. I was in bed by 8 although I did stay awake till 10 to watch Supernanny.
Going to do the weekly shop today. I've moved it forward a day as by the time my parents have left on a Friday I'm left with very little time to pop round to all the shops I want to go to and am left with a hasty drive to the nearest supermarket. Apart from a quick tidy up the house is remarkably clean (surprising the difference one child going back to school can make) and one load of washing to go on (I will ask DH to strip the bed and put it in the wash when he gets up)
DS is doing his first walk to school this morning, I hate the thought that I won't know whether he's got there safely or not until he gets home tonightPerhaps I should have driven him there for a few more days?
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning everyone and hello Lisa
Was asleep by 9.30 last night which was great as I'm desperately in need of it. Mr TM made an insensitive comment last night so I went for a sulk then a bath and bed. (He did apologise) However, did not appreciate being woken by DS1 climbing in with me at 3.30am, and at 5.30 I herded him back to his own bed, but still couldn't sleep properly.
Have lots of ironing to do and as it's raining again, the drier will need to go on, as another load in washer. I will be getting showered and dressed in a moment, then a few jobs that really NEED doing then off to mum's for the day - no doubt on the phone and running round sorting everything out. I will have to go and buy some suitable clothes for the funeral on Monday too, but may do that tomorrow.
It's nice to get back to some normality and dare I say it, sanity (well, sometimes) on here, so thanks for all your good wishes and I'll keep popping on here for my quick fix, if I get time for a cuppa.
Take care all

I haven't been around much over the past few days, I've been keeping myself busy at work by designing my own website... if anyone's interested https://www.tremtastic.com.
Went out for a really nice meal last night with OH's parents, I had swordfish with asparagus, with a white wine and prawn sauce, yum, followed by lots of lovely italian ice cream.
We got some free plants from a trade conference her dad was visiting, some cool tall vases, filled with white sand, with flowers in the top, apparently supposed to be like knickerbocker glories!
Not many plans for today, only 2 weeks left of 9-5 before going back to uni0 -
After DD spending the whole of yesterday in bed (she slept from 1.30 til 5pm!) and therefore me not being able to do the hoovering etc I'm going to set too today and clean the house top to bottom AND re-assemble DD's doll's house which can then stay out until the end of the half-term holidays. DD wants to help me so I'll give her a damp microfibre cloth to polish again while I hoover and clean the bathroom. Must remember to strip her bed - she had a small spot-like-sore on her face which she decided to pick the top off so there's blood on her quilt which I didn't spot until yesterday morning when I put her to bed
I've got 27 items to list on ebay today so I'll finish editing them at lunch time (they still say I'm having a huge clear out as spring is here) and upload them tonight so they'll be listed for 2 weekends (a tip I read here on MSE ) hopefully I should have £50 worth of money in my paypal account soon so I can do another transfer to my bank account and afford the rest of the postage costs for the larger items. I've already spent £30 on postage! Glad I don't do free P&P as I'd be worse off!
Meals are undecided ATM but I really need to make some room in my freezer so I can defrost it as it's starting to ice up. Plus I'm in the mood to do some bread making but can't fit anything else in my freezer. Still convinced I should buy a chest freezer as wellCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
