    Morning folks

Hope your new cleaner works out ok PP. :)

Hopefully my cold reached it's peak yesterday. All I was fit for was sitting in front of the tv yesterday afternoon, trying to breathe and watching Diagnosis Murder. I know it's never won any awards (other than for being ultra-cheesy), but the script writers must have been transported to another planet for yesterday's episode! :D

Told my best friend yesterday that we're moving. She's been out and about recently and I hadn't been able to talk to her on the phone until last night - and I didn't want to text her with the news. We both had a little cry as she only lives 30 mins away at the moment. :( Her and her husband (and their little beagle) are coming round on Sunday for a bbq.

Just had a text message from another friend and she's taking me out for lunch! I was planning on walking to the library in the neighbouring small town/village (always unsure) today anyway, so now I'll be able to combine the two - and have a little drink!

    See you later.

((PP & moggins)) hope you feel better soon.
Last night I listed 28 items on ebay and one is selling already :D Bit  as it cost us £5.12 to list our baby essentials stuff (and its being watched!) but if it needs to be relisted then I will be taking the reserve off it and just putting the price we want for it. OH finally agreed to list it with a reserve of £50 but a BIN price of £100, I cheekly listed it with a starting price of 98p so it was the 5p listing fee x2, 6p BIN fee x2 & 2% of the reserve price fee x2 At least I saved 20p :rotfl:

OH could tell there was nothing on TV at 9pm last night - I was cleaning the bathroom :rotfl: Then I washed down all the paintwork on the landing, stairs and entrance way and made a start on dusting the livingroom. Today I plan on finishing the dishes (will they ever be finished? ) dusting the livingroom properly, sweeping the livingroom but I'm not mopping today as it is teaming down with rain so it's just going to get very dirty when OH comes in. I need to do the ironing and label DD's school stuff as well as tackle the kitchen.

Lunch today will be jam sandwiches and I've kind of promised DD we'll make fishcakes and HM chips for tea . I'm also going to try and make mushy peas but I've got to try and live up to GFIL's recipe and the nearest I can usually get is Aldi's with a pinch of sugar in it so this is going to be a real test today

Right I'm off to finish my surfing and put The Incredibles on for DD - letting her have a really lazy day as its the last proper day of her holidays ;)

Forgot to mention I think I should ask DH for a raise in my housekeeping money as I moaned about the fact I had spent over £50 on the groceries yesterday. He confessed that he doesn't know how I manage to get so much for £50 anyway and his parents used to spend £150 a week on groceries and it was just the four of them and 1 cat!!!

    I think I should have a raise :D

  • Good Morning everyone!

Been suffering MSE withdrawal symptoms all week as have been away with work - I can't be parted from my computer for too long or baaaaad things start to happen!

Morning at home today so just off to do my grocery shop - am going to see how much I can get from my local shops before I venture into the supermarket (all walking distance). Need to pop to the library as well, also just round the corner (so handy!).

Have one of my sisters coming to stay for the weekend so a lovely girly shopping trip into the markets tomorrow, a bit of bargain hunting is on the cards.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning All,

Don't normally post here. But have had brekkie and stripped the bed and put it in the machine. It is now lazying on the washing line now. LOL!!!!!!!

Trying to decided if I have enough to do another load. Husbands new job gives him friday afternoons off :j . So he will be back home about 12.30. Great as it is a only a 5 min walk away from home. So saves loads on fuel. And means he gets nice fresh lunch as he comes home everyday.

When he gets back need to do quick look at the car as it has its MOT at 2pm. £40 quid if nothing wrong

Walk in to town while car is having its MOT, pay in a cheque and maybe have a sneaky coffee in the lovely little coffee shop we have in town.

Also need to star stripping the hall down for decorating. ummm so much fun hold me down. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone else has a good day. Take care.

    Yours

    Calley

I managed to blow up my third hoover in as many years yesterday! Are they not what they used to be or am I just a seriel appliance abuser? Anyway I dragged my old VAX out and set Mrs MATH the task of dredging cat hair from the carpets while I packed up ready to go to the coast for the weekend. I've been back in the E Mids for a whole two weeks so I'm in desperate need for some salt air and a decent bag of chips! Catch yall next week - MATH

    Morning all,

Having a fairly awful day so far. Started at 2.45am when the dog woke me, he was trying to be sick! I had to take him outside so that he could eat some grass, I daren't let him go on his own because he eats everything he can reach when he feels sick and some of the vegetation isn't good for him. It was a bit scary in the garden I could hear things moving about. This performance lasted for 2 hours before he decided to climb on the bed with DH. Could I get back to sleep? Oh no.
Feel awful now, all my pains are bad and I can hardly keep my eyes open.
I've only had a quick tidy round and put some lamb shanks in the slow cooker.
Shopping at Lidl tomorrow and may pop into the market, depends how good I am at walking. I'm also hoping to get the pansies planted in the winter baskets, so hope it stays fine.
May go for a sleep soon.
    Have a great weekend.
  • so far have got all of upstairs done & the kitchen. Am now eating egg fried rice (made by me!) & after lunch will need to tackle living room, put dishwasher on & do a wee bit of ironing!
