Desk is tidy, livingroom is damp dusted all over including behind the computer monitor  All the stuff to go upstairs is now in a posh carrier (one with a cardboard bottom) ready to go. One load of washing is just about done and will be going on the maiden & hangers in the masterbedroom once DD has emptied the machine (this is one of her favourite jobs so I let her do it). There is only 4 items left to be washed apart from our dinner dishes so there is a light at the end of the tunnel
While I have a reasonably quiet lunch I'm letting DD watch a sing-a-long winnie the pooh video and then she said she's quite happy to go up to her room and play while I sweep the livingroom/kitchen and do the ironing :T I see me watching Diagnosis Murder or some equally cheesy thing. Hopefully I should be able to have the weekend off except for daily jobs, apart from dishes which OH usually does, and a bit of shopping for fruit and milk. Here's hoping!!!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Ive been doing the laundry this morning.Usually do OH and my clothes and bedding.Saturday,do DS's and Sunday DD's.Also harvested the soapy water for watering the garden .
I finally decided to unpick my old hand knitted jumper as the sleeve was unravelling where puss grabbed it.Ive had it years so its about time to give the wool a new lease of life.
I got the hoover around downstairs.
In a moment I'll be organising DD's Science and then we'll have Latin.
Tea tonight will be Potato Pie.
My french beans have tiny little beans developing on them :j0 -
Hello everyone
Ds2 started back at his speech therapy today so had to drag the poor mite round town afterwards. Had to buy some new undies and saw some shoes that will go with the outfit mum's paying for, so treated myself to them (they were the cheapest I was shown, as well as my faves) They were all from Debenhams, so opened (another) account for the 10% off, plus got a £5 gift voucher to bootThen trailed to the butchers on the market and spent nearly £20 on meat - but got 5lb mince, 5lb pork chops, 2 lb stewing steak and a shoulder of lamb for that - and it's all top quality. Have to decide what to do for tea - spag bol probably as it's easy.
Needed to get some bits from Aldi but hadn't time so had to make do with Netto. Also treated myself to a big black of fruit and nut, of which I've just eaten half
I need to do some cleaning today - no point listing it as it all needs doing so I'll do what I can be bothered to really. Washer and drier are on (it's pouring here) and en suite is currently being bleached so may tackle the bathrooms first.
What the hell - I'm off for a cuppa. I need 10 mins to myself now ds2 is at pre-school.
Have a good day,

still haven't decided what to make for dinner tonight - freezer is quite full so i guess it will be from there - pie and mash and veg looks the front runner at the mo. OH is driving tomorrow and on suday so that will be £60 in the pot - hurrah!!! washing up-to-date as well. I have got a lot of correspondence and admin i need to sort out and i suppose i could sort out some of the boxes of "junk/tat" i have but as the charity shop of my choice (shelter) is closed for re-decorating I may as well wait. so, i am looking forward to a very lazy weekend - by the way nicky never mind diagnosis murder - living tv are r-running father dowling - now add a mug of hot chocolate to that with some melted marshmallows in the top and it's bliss. But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Afternoon all.
Just popped into town and spent my £5 boots voucher...got another for my trouble and gave it to my friend so she could treat herself. Picked up a new lippy too and got a free charm bracelet...persuaded friend to buy a lippy to and got another free bracelet to put away for DD's for xmas.
Trundled off to tesco and managed to spend £53. This included a lush long cream scarf for me for the winter at £8....(I can't knit so no point in trying to make myself one) Got loads of BOGOF items too that I can actually use so everythings looking full now it's all put away.
Working this afternoon and it's just started to rain.....have to drag 5 soggy kids home from school so I've not even bothered with the kitchen floor today...will think about that tomorrow after a good lie in and breakfast in bed! DH has to get DD1 to the ferry terminal for 7am for her school trip to france, he's promised to get her packed up and off while I sleep in, and do breakfast when he gets back...all seems too good to be true!
Anyway - hope you all have a wonderful afternoon and weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Now come on you're giving us Ol'stylers a bad name. We are all far to busy doing important and worthwhile stuff to sit around watching pap and scarfing high calorie drinks - arn't we? Anyway there is nothing worth watching since they took off "Sunset Beach":D I've got to go Neighbours is nearly on.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
Afternoon
Well my cleaning lady turned up and she has done a spendid job-havent ventured upstairs yet as I cant get up the stairs..lol, but downstairs is fine. There were a few jobs that havent been done but she explained that they cant be done evry week because of time factors etc and dont really need doing every week anyway. Rather her be honest with me. Ive always done my skirting, woodwork, frames, ceilings weekly etc but maybe thats coz me mum used to do it weekly. My teddy cabinets-OH will do with vinegar as they are quite fiddly and worth quite abit-so rather that anyway(only need to be done once a fortnight).
I do my 20 min blitz daily anyway and will get DD to do the skirting for me once a weekThink I just have to come to terms that Im just fussy and not everyone cleans like me
at least its getting a good going over once a week with a small cats lick daily
Lunch was a 2 small lamb chops, mash and peas.
OH & DD are going to Macros after school-Im hoping to go but wont hold my breath. They have on offer: Charmin loo rolls, Flash 2ltr, Lenor concentrated, walkers crisps x 48, mature cheese bogof & Ariel washing powder.
2 washloads done, cleaning lady did house, OH has done some weeding and tidied back garden. Nearly finished DD's room too-its looks lovely :j
Have a nice day.
