I had not seen your earlier post - just seen it now and agree that it would be a good idea to phone NHS Direct to make sure everything is alright."This site is addictive!"

My husband says I'm a total nag, but have you called them yet?! xMay all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I know you're both probably right and I should seek proper medical advice but I'm terrified of them saying I should go to A&E or something and risk bringing on a full blown panic attack, especially as I think, and hope, that this might be stress related rather than anything more serious. I've not had any chest pains since this morning, but the tingling/pins and needles is still there so it could just be a trapped nerve where I'm not sleeping properly and tossing and turning all night"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Sorry, our posts crossed there. Here's what I think. Panic attacks are utterly horrible. I understand why you don't want one. But there are MUCH worse things. Medical attention if you need it can prevent the worse ones. If you know what I mean.
It might just be a trapped nerve. I used to get tingling arms when I had migraines (and my feet.) So I'm sure there's lots of possibilities. It's just better that you get it dealt with. And let's face it, if you weren't worried, you wouldn't have done the teeny tiny writing!
I really think a call would be prudent. Ember on another thread has been fretting like crazy over a medical issue and pursuing some answers has calmed her down A LOT. I really think you should pick up the phone. :grouphug:May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -

Oh !!!!!!, I was hoping everyone would say "nothing to worry about, sleep on it and see how you are tomorrow etc" but now I'm getting more paranoid and feeling pains and twinges that I'm sure weren't there half an hour ago
But what if I call NHSDirect and they tell me to go to A&E? It's just not possible or feasible for me to do that, today, tomorrow, or ever
Ok, thinking about this sensibly for a moment, cos that's what I need to do or I'll make things worse, it's not that long ago I had an ECG and all was well so it's unlikely to be connected to anything as serious as my heart, right? ... which I know is what people are thinking as the worse case scenario. I do have back and neck problems so it's more likely to be a trapped nerve than anything.
If I call them, are they likely to do anything as stupid as send out an ambulance or anything, cos that would totally freak me out, or will they just give me advice and leave me to make any necessary arangements?

Okay, you don't even have to give them your real name. So they won't send an ambulance without your permission. I imagine that it is a nerve thing. I just meant if it's not, it's best to be looked at. What's stopping you from a trip to casualty?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Sorry, I asked not to be nosey but because if you tell nhs direct that you really can't make it (eg agrophobia or something) you could get a doc to come out to you!
Sorry, have to go offline again but will check in again in a little while. I really hate to be stressing you out. You're probably right that it's nothing. I know nothing about this except that if it was a member of my family I'd be urging them to find out one way or the other. xxxMay all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Ok, you've convinced me to give them a call and see what they say"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
